It's funny, I follow a couple of rabbit "celebs" on BookeyFace & they need meds sometimes. The owner barely has the syringe near their mouths & they are gulping down them like it was candy for a human child! WT#!!! When we needed to give Thumper her meds, we had to chase her around the living room, finally grab her in a blanket aka "burrito mode" & then we had to add whatever was sweet to the meds. Also this bunny didn't take that syringe either, kinda had to stick where it could deliver the stuff.

I look back at that now, & I'd do it all over again. There are days I really miss having her around. 🐇

Well each animal has his own character.

When I needed to give my former Boxer Dogs medication I had to either hide it in cheese or force it down their throats.

Balthar was notorious for eating the first piece of cheese, then the second including the meds, than the third and then spit out the medication he had stuffed in his cheek.

Odin would have none of it and I needed to force pills down his throat, he did get treats afterwards but he never surrendered,

And then we have Brutus, just dump the medication in his bowl with his food, he thinks it is an extra treat no matter how it tastes.

Oh yah, definitely!

We had these little mini yogurt donut things for rabbits & she'd get a couple each time. I don't think she hated us for long after that. ha ha.

Thumper was a free to the wind kinda bunny that's for sure. She wasn't going to let anyone cage her & keep her locked up that's for sure.

Speaking of bunnies, there is a neighbor about 3 houses down for us & on a corner that has rabbits. Sadly they are getting out of their backyard & are all over the front area. They did have a mated pair, but I haven't seen the male in quite awhile. I see the female one all the time & lately I've started to see her babies running around with her. They were in anther neighbor's backyard (behind a gate) the other day. I hate it when the owner just pretty much gave up on trying to keep them in their backyard. They were pretty good & covering holes & other things, but now I don't think they care. Biggest thing is the traffic on that corner as it's behind a grade school, so I'm gonna hate it if I see them lying on the side of the road due to they got hit by a car.

I hate irresponsible pet owners. Getting/keeping an animal as a pet isn't a spur of the moment or only as long  as it's convenient decision, it's a multi year commitment. If you can't handle that, get a stuffed animal instead.

Ok, rant over.

We have three cats, and they run the range on giving medicine from easy to you're gonna need body armor.  Additionally, with one of them, it depends on what the medicine IS. Pills she'll eat all of whatever treat it's hidden in then spit it out, but she has one that's in a paste form that smells pretty foul to me, that she actually begs for.

In possibly related news I HAZ MILK,  and DONUTS.

yeah... I must have gotten your shopper.  I was supposed to have grocerys deliverd this morning my own self. They're over an hour late now, and a driver just tried to deliver someone else's order to my house, fortunately I heard them on the porch and checked it as he was walking back out to his car and was able to very quickly accertain that there was a ton of stuff in those bags I didn't order and almost nothing that I did.  Also the name on the bags was wrong......

Yeah, my last cat would take pills like they were treats.  Pilling the new cat is a 2 person job, one holds her, the other shoves the medicine down.

And those cursed spammers are back. Can someone block some IP addresses, please?

groceries arrived almost two hours late.  Driver tried to deliver someone elses order first, fortunately he took a minute in the car after dropping it on the doorstep and I had time to realize that there was a case of bang energy and a box of cheerios that I didn't order.  He took it back and left, then came back about 20 minutes later with my stuff.

ended up missing a bag of fritos though, so now I have to figure out something else to put my chili over.....
