Anything like ^ that?

Was going to try to explain, but then realized I had screenshots I'd sent to my son. He spent several hours watching me play and was always curious to see my progress when he grew older. It's more of an inverted pyramid shape.

If you look closely, the tower is built from cobblestone up from where the land used to be. Down was just a single wide mob-moat before I got the idea for the inverted pyramid shape.

My rules for that world was that I couldn't leave sight of the tower, nor could I strip mine. So for the first few years, it was stone picks only and whatever iron happened to pop in. Only that middle tower had any diamonds, and those were too precious to use on tools. Then the nether came, and villager, and suddenly I had a way of getting good tools. Went very rapidly by then. Looking at the version history, I started the world sometime after October 2012 (V1.4; I had carrots) and before the terrain updated in October 2013 (V1.7). I have a disconnected terrain from that jump.

I might make a copy of the world and just see what it would be like with the new build heights. Or pull the seed and go from there. But I intend to never let this one file get past this point.

The three little wool blocks coming off the wood bridge from the front door are feline memorials. One was a YouTuber's cat who had died while I was playing and felt bad about. Then the other two memorials are for my own cats who have passed.

Note the new design space saving parking space next to the back hoe.

The construction equipment might do OK until the first maintenance/repair problem pops up, then it's done for.

A blown hydraulic hose, thrown tread, or any of a laundry list of problems you don't even have to think about with an automobile will put the whole operation out of commission.

It'd only be a matter of time before it comes down to this anyways:

Interesting that the sign is Quality inn, but the hotel is Holiday Inn Express.

Good Eyes.

I totally missed that.

One possible explanation, hotels like this are often located adjacent to each other, especially if there is a Convention Center as part of one of the facilities.

In their defense, I’m pretty sure that’s a bear to steer.

The first problem is finding where the manufacturer hid the steering wheel.

Seriously, if the flangeways across the road get packed full of ice that has a hard freeze, it can lift the entire locomotive out of the flangeways and cause a derailment.

In December at the Railroad Museum we had to walk the track at certain critical locations and shovel and sweep those areas clear of snow and ice before equipment could safely be run over those sections of track.  We are currently shut down till spring and temperatures rise.

The "for profit" railroads don't have our option.

Did you know that not a single one of the United States of America has pizza as its official state food?

There's currently a bill being proposed in Connecticut to make pizza the official state food. It didn't pass the last time they tried two years ago, but there's a good shot that it'll make it through this time.
