I lived in a house where we referred to the previous owner as "Mr Three Inch Screw." Loose drawer handle, fixed it with a 3" screw. Loose hinge, fixed with a 3" screw. Loose stair railing, put in a couple 3" screws. You name it, nearly every repair in the house had been fixed from the same box of screws. Maybe thsts in my destiny. I bought a box of screws because it's cheaper than buying the 4 I needed. I have redone all the hinges and plates for the outside doors and have plenty left. Maybe I'll work on the inside doors and the cabinets. Hehe 1

There's a local place that we call the Darth Vader House... It has a sort of short tower thing on the front, and the roof of it looks a lot like Darth Vader's helmet (if the helmet was made of geometric panels). Green Eyed Monsty
Wave to the asteroid as it goes by. We're getting a close pass from what is described as a delivery van size asteroid tonight. Estimated circa 2200 miles at closest approach. The thing was only discovered last year. Which raises the question, what other stuff is out there that's going to give us a "close shave" that hasn't been discovered yet. haldir
When you gotta have that "Doordash" meal!! https://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=35526960 (note the lower right corner) Speaking of Doordash, I was waiting for my food inside at Jack in the Box last night & standing next to me was a Doordash driver. Now, I'm not one to judge a person, but looking at this guy, I never want to order from Doordash around here. This guy looked so unprofessional. Slob in appearance - hair was just like he'd slept on it for 10 hrs, of course PJ pants & a shirt that appeared to be on it's last strings of life. Ummm, no thank you. I've only used one of the delivery app service once & that was RCon last year. I ordered Panda Express on Saturday between running games & I was highly satisfied with the order. The driver was very professional. It helps that I've been to the PE near the hotel before, so I knew where the food was coming from. Will I ever order again if needed down there, yes. 4
WhiteWulfe
Today is an interesting day, where I'm rather excited about the work day to end not only for the usual reasons, but also so I can then hop on a bus, impatiently wait a little over an hour including transfers... Yeah, apparently a store in town carries Monument Hobbies ProAcryl, so, uh, yeah. Sorry PG Astray Red Frame, but I've wanted that paint about as long as I've wanted to pick you up, and I don't break a personal rule (and promise to hubby) by getting more paint... It also makes budgeting easier, because now I don't have to save up a bunch to put a bulk order in, I can get it "locally" (quotes used because it's like other side of town from work... And home). It also means I can try it out and then save up for my new airbrush compressor...

I've thought about getting some ProAcryl, but I've also told myself I don't want to get started on other brands of paint right now. I barely use the brands that have now & I broke my personal rule by getting those Prismatic Paints aka Game Color with the D&D name on them. At least you don't need to order your paint, which helps you during the colder months now.

At least you don't need to order your paint, which helps you during the colder months now. Indeed, and that's the main thing for me. I definitely love the Reaper Bones paints, but it's difficult to acquire, doubly so because they still aren't clear on actual free shipping thresholds or who they'll ship with (I don't want a massive UPS Ground handling fee tacked onto my order. Taxes I'm fine with, but UPS Ground doubles the cost of the box with their tiered rates... Aaaand they still claim its $80 USD for Ree shipping but cart won't give it until its $85)... And then there's such a limited window for ordering paints and knowing they'll actually arrive to you intact. ProAcryl is stocked in a number of places across Canada, so I was especially happy to hear a store within the city carries it, because I've wanted to try their paint out for a number of reasons, but locally available means it reaaaaally fits the one core requirement I have for all paint - I can get it year round. I've been slowly switching to locally available when possible simply because I don't like waiting for it to be safe to order, and I don't like waiting for packages (especially if it's a colour I need). Arguably it's also because even if I wind up buying their entire catalogue it's noticeably fewer bottles than Reaper, at least right now anyways. I've found there's things I like about various lines, and I'll even wind up acquiring some Golden High Flow as I'm able, simply because it has its own unique properties...

GEM Is that the 'green' one I have been hearing about in all the Mordheim circles? anyways, wow, day two, look at me go. I hope everyone is doing the best they can be doing and it just gets better. Sitting here reading the C&C Players Handbook waiting on the laundry to finish washing and just thought I would check in.
