Still no water.

Called well guy yesterday and he said the cold weather probably broke the transducer that turns the pump on and off.

He says he's had "about six" blow with the cold snap.  He has them "on order".

When I asked what the work around is he said there isn't one.

If he doesn't get back to me today I'm going to start calling every other well service in the area.

Probably from a home that had to many animals. Code enforcement Officer city code is 4 dogs. We had 5, someone lodged a complaint against my female Bassett being too noisy, so had to get rid on my male Bassett. I am not bitter or anything....

I hope everyone is having the best day they can and I hope it gets better.

I have changed my mind on my world 23, I am still going to do it, but I am going to use a few things that, I think will help me a bit. My 'starting' city is changing. I was going to use one I have 'made', but I need to redraw. I am instead going to use one that I have purchased in the past. I will be using the Castle's and Crusaders rule set, because it is closer to 1st edition, that I am use to.  Anyways, I feel like I am repeating myself, so I hope you all have the best day you can have.

Dead water heaters suck.

When I moved here I was surprised that our place had one leased from the power company. Apparently that is common here, but I'd never heard of it while in the next province over.

So instead of one big payment when we need a new one, we have a little payment every month.  But at least replacement is supposed to be quick when they do go.

There was a puget sound energy sticker on the water heater when we bought our western Washington place ~16years ago.  The realtor recommended asking the sellers to purchase it from the utility as part of the deal closing so that we wouldn’t be picking up monthly fees.  They did, and we’ve been expecting it to die ever since.  Except it hasn’t.  Sometimes you win!

Well it appears our water heater may be on the fritz. I was asleep (finally after saying I was gonna go to sleep yesterday...) but when my son was going to take a shower, we had to no hot water. My wife goes out to the garage & there was water all over the top & down the sides of the water heater. I have a few gaming stuff around that so I need to see what got soaked & of course I need to call a plumber today, JOYS, so much JOYS. When I woke up around 4 this morning, one of the plastic drawers full of plastic bases was sitting on top of the kitchen sink. I had this one pulled out but it sits next to the water heater. While the bases were wet, the mdf bases were still in sealed plastic baggies, so no real damage to anything. I'm not sure what else is wet out there. My Speedpaints thou were on the floor under the drawer so if anything the labels may have gotten wet, we shall see.

I'm starting to think my planned trip to Portland & the OR Coast next month, may not happen after all now.

I just got done cleaning up what got wet last night. I have to admit nothing lfie changing, but I did lose a game booklet (Steamforged's Snake god or whatever that set was called). A Kickstarter card game box got wet but it's drying. I did lose a bottle of Reaper paint (Linen White) but I think I've had that bottle for years. It helps I found anther one in a storage container that I had to clean out. I had 4 plastic containers (with lids) near the "splash zone" that had water inside them, luckily it just a spit of water inside them, but enough to wet a bunch of bottle labels. I really wish Reaper would move away from the thermal labels.

As far as the water heater itself, plumber will be here tomorrow today this in the afternoon, so we'll know it's fate then.

Marvel Comics has actually already made that joke in the X-Men books - back in 1989...  ::P:

As part of the X-men crossover event Inferno, the demon N'asturh is planning a demonic invasion of Earth, and kidnaps a young mutant named Wiz Kid who can quickly build complex technology out of everyday items in order to help him. Attempting to open a gate between Limbo and Earth, N'asturh finds that it's taking too long, and forces Wiz Kid to build him a "spell-checker" computer that can do the necessary magical calculations much faster than he could on his own.

Old project has asked if I’d like to come back. This is the one from three years ago that told me I needed to go get another position. Told them I needed to think about it.

Double the Salary & Benefit Package and double the vacation time.  If they aren't willing to use that as a starting point for negotiation they aren't serious.
