GEM I always thought it was funny when I went to the dump in Red Deer and they have a Canadian flag flying at the entrance. Yup, that's the piece of Canada I stand on guard for. 5
Glitterwolf
Oldest Vixen moved out, she's properly installed in her appartment, we visited last night and she looks very happy there. 7 minute walk from our place so we're close if she needs us. She bought it about 5 months ago, finally work is done and she can enjoy living on her own ( some minor details to be fixed but such is the faith of a home owner). Her boyfriend rents a place also pretty closeby, but it seems she keeps him in her appartment for decoration, he doesn't seem to mind... Youngest Vixen is still here, so I figure let's spoil her rotten so she won't leave soon. Already she and her boyfriend are looking for a rental place in another town ( work/study etc is closer there) but with the given housing crisis it won't be easy for them to find something soon. Oldest was lucky ( and saved more money...) Brutus is still doing well despite the suspicious bumps and lumps growing where they shouldn't be. I really hope he will stick with us some time longer, already 10 yrs old so he's in the danger zone. My girl and me had lunch at a nice place yesterday, later she baked a bread which we will try today. I made Risotto last night for the two of us ( youngest was out for dinner with her boyfriend and Oldest ..see above) Bacon/Mushroom Risotto with grilled chicken and mushrooms on top. Saturday was a snackbar day. so no pics Friday I made Parsnip ( grilled with herbs and spices), fried potatoes and Grilled Chicken seasoned with Arab spice mix. TGP
I looked in my map application on my phone for 9850 Furnace Road. There is such a road in Virginia. The closest intersecting thoroughfare to 9850 is, (you’ll never guess): Mordor Drive

haldir
You know I don't think I've ever seen snow in Greece: Cold snap/bad weather going through the area, according to the newsites. 11

Pegazus
And so I start my week off with one of my regular rants: the advanced high efficiency light bulbs. Today’s subject is a GE LED flood bulb for the kitchen. Estimated life: 22.3 years! Actual life: almost 8! Home Depot had one brand of bulbs this weekend. Ecosmart brand. We will see how long those last, as they feel like very cheap plastic. Will let you know in two years or so, as I think they have an estimated life of 11 years.
