A lot of those "castles" are major fixer uppers.

GEM

Oh, I'm well aware of that. I've seen a fair number of them in person while I was in the Navy.

I'm also fairly sure I don't have enough money to be able to afford any of them, anyway.

It's still a fun daydream.

You've really been on a roll!

Yup, clearing the workdesk, so many unpainted minis on it....finally it's getting empty again.

I can print new ones and put them on my desk again...

Wait...

With access to a 3D printer, that technically means as long as you have resin, one could print minis continuously and therefore prolong life indefinitely. And being resin, and with strategic hollowness, it’s possible that the stack would never get heavy enough to crush you in aforementioned comic.

Wonder if it has to be physical minis, or if the quantum rules of the universe consider potential minis in the calculation.

Speaking of which, cool video last night talking about the possibility of using distant masses, such as a galaxy far, far away to perform a double slit experiment on photons emitted at an even more distant galaxy. Means that the past can be manipulated.

What a marvelous world.

Potential minis count?

Looks at hard drive full of 3d files..

@TheAuldGrump's forte is crows, unfortunately no ravens. I think. He's odd enough that anything's possible, though. ::D: *waves hello to the Grump*

The nice thing is he SHARES!

Once one crow knows you, EVERY crow knows you!

The trick is to keep dog kibble in your purse.

I got some bad news about my knee last week.  The X-ray had shown only minimal damage, but the knee kept hurting after months of treatment.  I got the results from my recent MRI, and the cartilage is apparently mostly gone.  So a knee replacement is in my future.   Have an appointment March 30 to talk to the doc about it.

In more fun work news,  I got approved to attend a Cyber class all next week and I am looking forward to that.  I declined travel, and instead I will attend remotely from home.  I figure staying home will be more conducive to learning than being at work and getting physically interrupted.

Whoooo, about to start my first bust.  Kind of looking forward to painting up Meirsoa...

Good luck!

I have painted a few busts, my advice:

Take your time with it, paint something smaller on the side so you can return to the bust when you feel like it.

It took me months to complete my Countess Karnstein for example.

Sorry to hear that, on the bright side, when you do get the replacement you'll be set for a long time again.

Hope all will go well for you!
