Yeah, she's a rather lovely sculpt to say the least!  The 75mm version of Oleana is also printed, but Meirsoa really pulls my attention the most at this time.

As Inarah mentioned, it's really a case of doing things one of two ways

- waiting for things to dry, or

- only using one type of paint in an area.

Vince showcased both in that oils vs acrylics video, and I'm probably going to go mainly oils for skin and fabric, and leaning more towards acrylic use for filters and the hair..

Given that she will mainly get my attention on weekends, I doubt the waiting for paint to dry will be much of an issue ^_^

Ah, it's not that. Oils on resin supposedly degrade the resin; exactly how I'm not sure, tbh, because I've never tried it.

One of the first things I learned when painting doll makeup; acrylic paint, or chalk pastels; no oils. I had a preference for chalk-pastel; acrylics without an airbrush were tricky.

From what's been said so far, sounds like that base or primer coat is probably going to be the thing that makes the difference for this, tbh; especially if your first layers are acrylics. If the oil never touches the resin, it can't degrade it, or so.

So I'm interested to see how it goes, since I don't really have the space (or interest, tbh; I was never very interested in working with oils) to try it myself. ^^;

Awesome bust!

Next time I suspect I'll see how large I can print her in my current printer, because what's better than a lovely gnoll lady?  A bigger one.

... Well, provided you aren't the one that ate the last of the snacks, that is..

Well now, that's good to know.  Here's hoping primer plus a layer or two of zenithal drybrushing provides enough of a barrier.  Was it any oils, or did it depend on the binder oil used?  Most of my paints use safflower oil, if I remember correctly, and I try to avoid the heavy metal paints.

Well. sheep. Gary Rossington, lead guitar & last founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd died Sunday night. LS is one of my favs (thou some of their songs on commercial radio stations can get a bit repetitive). At least he can join his brothers playing on the other side now.

RIP Mr Rossington

.. you know that thing where, you KNOW something, because you have read more than one account and have spoken to people with experience... but all you can find on the internet is completely unrelated and unhelpful information? Yah...

I don't remember any specifics on oil paints; because everyone I knew who was doing custom work was using chalk pastels or acrylics (and possibly watercolours?), and making a point of using sealants (Mr. Super Clear was a favorite).

I'll take another shot once I've eaten something and medicated the cat; one or the other might shake something loose.

Oh, how awful. Did she at least die painlessly? To shreds, you say. Well, how is he holding up? To shreds, you say.

My motivation today is about nil.  Everyone and everything is annoying me, even my favorite customers.

On a completely unrelated note, how many of you here have a shredder, and shred all your receipts, bank statements and financial paperwork before throwing it away?

And how many of you also shred your unneeded game stuff, like old army lists, character sheets, adventure notes, etc?

It's stupid, but I get a kick out of doing that. I figure if someone ever takes the time to try and reassemble any of my shredded paperwork, they might as well get annoyed that finding half of it is things like Stargrave crew lists and old D&D NPCs.

Diversity & Gaming.

So I'm at least starting my pregens & anyone that has played my games at RCON, knows my pregens are not the generic type of pregens. These are characters I'd play myself & such, but I want to make a character that a little out of my league on the account that the character would use a wheelchair. I came across this on MMF the other day & thought I had to make this a pregen:

Obviously she'd be a bard & elf, etc etc, but I was curious on some of the physical challenges in the adventure. While the adventure I'm planning on having this as a character for doesn't have a dungeon element in it, it does have stairs. How would this character navigate a obstacle that a walking person treats as everyday item.

Also are there actual 5e stats for wheelchairs for PCs?

Anything else?

Again, I want this character to fit in with the rest of my pregens, I don't want to single her out, by not making her as good as the other pregens.

Fortunately, Jasper's pretty good about taking her pills, but she gets a bribe... once the pill has gone down the hatch, she gets wet food, and she is Deeply Committed to that dish of wet food.

I'd probably just reskin a flying carpet as her wheel chair.

I think there is a 5e supplement out there that has info on wheelchairs. Strixhaven, maybe?

Now that you said supplement, I did a google & came upon the combat wheelchair sheet. So it looks like I just make the character as is & then add the chair as a item the character has. Makes sense. Also there is some "magical" items that are embedded in the chair that allow the chair to move or difficult terrain & things like stairs & such. Make sense really.

Heard this on the radio as I was waking up this morning.

SMH...

Just got off a call where a lady freaked out because her car wash just charged a customer ~$300,000. Or rather, tried to charge a customer that.

Turns out she tried to fix the time/date of the server while a customer was washing because it was off by 10-20 minutes.  When she set the date, she mistyped and set it to August 6th, not March 6th.   So when the cashier went to close his time charge account out, he got charged for his 15 or so minutes plus another five months worth of minutes (at a  $1.37/minute),

Still chuckling....

Imagine how much water used that would be?

I see what appears to be a sword hilt sticking out of the back of the wheelchair.  Inquiring minds want to know how that works with someone who is wheelchair bound.

How about a modification of Tenser's Floating Disk where the focus point for the 20 foot reference is directable by the person in the wheelchair?
