haldir
Ha ha, ok this is probably old news, but I did a google to make sure I spelled Grogu's name correctly in anther post, as I'm not a regular watcher of the Mandalorian Series. Anyways, I typed how I thought it was & this came up "grogu mandalorian" & then I hit enter. It comes up with your standard google info, but let it sit for a bit. In the lower right corner there is a familiar figure. 3 minutes ago, Chaoswolf said:
Great Khan Artist
I have ordered several hunded dollars worth of Croc games minis since the Black Friday sale and had them shipped to my sister's friend's place in MN all winter. It's much cheaper, and I don't have to pay customs. But I no longer remember what I ordered. I'm getting the goods later today, and it will be a lovely surprise for myself! 10

If I ever go through my Reaper KS 3 through 5 boxes, I'll feel the same way. I know some of the stuff that is in those Kickstarters but I know there is gonna be a few surprises. 8

AIAA is an aerospace association. Anyway, it was talking about the launch failure of Japan’s new H3 vehicle. It had a blurb that Japan wants to compete with SpaceX but has a way to go before meeting SpaceX’s current launch cost of $2,600 per kg. That’s not a typo. Four figures per kg. And so, my brain is pondering just how small and light I could make a simple camera satellite and transmit a image every so often back to me. Want to make it less than a kilo, just for the awesomeness that would entail. Unless they had a minimum mass requirement, I probably could. I could have my own personal surveillance satellite. Alas, “real” work calls.

Hopefully she'll be feeling better very soon and Anne should be back on tomorrow but I'll let y'all know if anything changes. 🖤 6

Add solar panels and whatever maneuvering system required and Bob's Your Uncle. 2

Have an app that takes a picture every time it sees brightness after a set time and email it home. Cheapest. Satellite. Ever. 5

From an article about micro-sats: ”Small satellites are difficult to track with ground-based radar, so it is difficult to predict if they will collide with other satellites or human-occupied spacecraft. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has rejected at least one small satellite launch request on these safety grounds.”

The rejected launch was probably planned to put a micro-satellite in the same orbital vicinity as used by many of the com-sats, making it a hazard to commercial and scientific navigation.
