haldir
One more night of work this week & then it's the start of a 10 day vacation. A part of me wishes, I had adjusted that, as it's set up for my trip to Portland & the OR Coast, but anther part of me says I need this. It just means I need to use extra hours of vacation or OR medical leave (as I'll never (knock on wood) use it, as I don't get sick or use medical leave) for this week, just 1 day & then a week's worth next week.

Mad Jack
I've decided to populate the town in my D23 project with some of my old D&D characters... Roxie the Docksy is a part-time mercenary, part-time dockworker, and part-time courtesan based out of the nearby city of Windward... Roxy is a very attractive and buxom 6'3" red-headed human fighter who, when not adventuring, is known to pick up some extra coin by working as a dockhand and occasional strumpet. She carries a large wooden mallet on her belt (stats as a warhammer) that she uses both on the docks and in combat. Roxie makes no secret that she likes men, she likes gold, she likes ale, and she likes them even more when one or more of them happen to coincide, lol. Few would suspect a woman like that of being one of the biggest freelance information brokers and fixers in the city. Despite cultivating a loud, coarse and somewhat thick-headed public persona in the lower and working-class parts of the city, Roxy is actually well-spoken, charismatic and highly intelligent, and capable of navigating the bar room, the bedroom and the ball room all with equal grace and ease. Thus, she has developed extensive social and business contacts at all levels of society (every last one of whom owe her favors) and also has her own private intelligence network in place throughout the city. So I've decided that Roxy is the secret owner of the local laundry and brothel, which makes her just the latest in a long, long list of people in that town who have secrets. In fact, so many of the residents and the people just passing through have secrets that the whole town has a vested interest in maintaining the status quo, and minding one's own damn business is considered the local pastime. 8
ejala
When you've been sick with plague over a week and haven't been able to paint, and start wondering what the power palette would say about the phlegm you're coughing up, the plague is getting to your mind. No official answer, but something of pale yellow mold with a trace of dungeon slime. I hate covid.

About three weeks of sleepless nights [and days] and I only "slept" when my body/brain would finally pass out from sheer sleep deprivation. Stay hydrated and hopefully in a few more days it will pass on to bother someone else. GEM 5 1 1

ejala
About all I've been able to do is sleep. It might be getting better, have had more ' able to breathe through the nose' hours the last day and a half. Dad has it too, (I blame him for bringing it home), and he felt worse than I at first, and is finally getting a bit better. So he was able to locate a stash of cough meds and give them to me Monday. I'd previously given all the ones I knew of in the house to him cause I was healthier. I don't think I'd wish this on anyone. Maybe Hitler or Pol Pot. 7
