Something I learned after my time in Australia - the most popular foreign beers sold in the US are typically not even close to the best beers in their home country. 7

I still love how so many are all Whooooo Molson Canadian! And I try not to mention many Canadians avoid it, because, well, yeah. It's not that great. 😛 5

Yeah, no Aussie I know drinks Foster's. But I think that's pretty universal... people keep the good (at least to their own tastes) stuff for themselves and export the stuff they wouldn't touch with a barge pole. 5

Do they even make Foster's for local consumption anymore? (I don't drink, so have no idea) 1

I was in Europe, but I learned the same thing.
Arc 724
Holy mackerel this random post is still going! 👏 Random: You hear about the guy that got a toy horse stuck in his throat? They took him to the doctor he’s in stable condition.

lowlylowlycook
Those guys can eat a tomato plant right quick. Looks more like the deer got in than a few admittedly large catapillars.

Pegazus
Gah. Got invited to our company’s additive manufacturing (aka 3D printing) strategy offsite meeting. In San Francisco. With only half day meetings so we can conveniently fly in that morning, have afternoon meetings, spend the night, then have morning meetings, and fly back home that afternoon. It’s gutting. I love printing. But. Have an all day offsite meeting. Makes the travel so much less of a hassle.

Also it's my cousin's bday. She is the same age as me, so she is kinda of my closest cousin. Local comic con was held over the weekend. I didn't go as I'm not that much into the comic side of the hobby but daughter is into cos-play & her homemade costume got her "Best in Show" so happy for her about that. She is becoming a pro at this, as last year at a Boise comic-con, she got like 2nd or 3rd place.

When I was doing Rocky Horror, I once drove fourteen hours down to West Virginia, spent about fourteen hours there, and then drove fourteen hours back home again...
