We do have a list of recommended providers, and I'm the one in charge of the US version.  There are literally thousands of credit card processing companies (all using the same 2-3 dozen platforms), but it's a lot easier if sites go with one of the half dozen providers on our list.

And there is the rub - this processor is the one that's been on our recommended providers list the longest.  I adore the company rep - he and I have been working together for almost 21 years.  And up until October, his company was IMO THE BEST for our customers to work with,. If it wasn't for these issues, they still would be.

Even though he's upset with me, he is just as frustrated as I am over this - as a sales rep, part of how he gets paid is on commission - he's doing everything he can to try and get this solved for me because his pay is dependent upon commissions - he'll take a fairly decent hit to his pay check if all these customers switch.

I don't know what I'm going to do - I hate to punish the rep for something outside of his control, but it may be all I have.

From your description is sounds like there was a significant change in key personnel in the IT Department of this company within the last 9 months, and not for the better.

If you are having this much of a problem in the Car Wash Industry, the repercussions have to be reverberating through multiple segments of the economy.

Best of Luck.

My boss thinks he wants to turn the third bay back into a car wash for the public. We are selling the old shop, and the guys need somewhere to wash their trucks, so I get turning it back into a wash bay versus the car park it is now. But I don't think the hassle is worth it.

My grandpa used to have the car wash/laundromat in my hometown. He couldn't get a wand to work, so he took it apart. Inside was a tiny, shrunken pair of men's underpants. He never did figure out how they got in there in the first place. I have a feeling he never told me half of what went on there...

Holy mackerel this random post is still going! 👏

Random: You hear about the guy that got a toy horse stuck in his throat? They took him to the doctor he’s in stable condition.

His throat was a little horse, though.

Took the day off today!

There are some choirs and minor repairs that need to be done.

I want to hobby a little.

And oldest Vixen will be joining us for dinner.

Hmmm second Tuesday in a row since she lives on her own, do I sense a pattern?

Even after moving, everyone needs a connection back to home. Or free food. Probably the free food.

This past weekend I took part in a three day bachelor party I had planned for my oldest friend who finally went and met someone he wants to settle down with. People flew in from all over the country to participate. There were feats of strength, skill and intelligence, a bunch of great food and way more alcohol than was necessary was consumed. And it all culminated in a great hardcore/metal show on Sunday night. Then yesterday, while all the unlucky out of towners had to fly home, I spent the entire day on the couch recuperating and contemplating whether I should buy my liver a Get Well Soon card. I think though that in the end there were a couple of great lessons learned... First, even well into middle age it's possible to find love, which makes me pretty happy. And secondly, a bunch of guys in their 40's and 50's should not act like they're a bunch of guys in their 20's. Seriously, I'm still sore.
