There's a small leak coming either from the top of our sliding door or from the roof. Trying to find out where it comes from so I can either fix it or get a professional to deal with it. It's just a bit moist and sometimes a tiny drop but it has to be fixed.

Green Eyed Monsty
9 hours ago, sumbloke said: -snip- Do not use flour on a fire. Flour dust can easily become explosive. Explosions were a common way of millers and bakers dying back in the day. Explosion is still a major hazard in Flour Mills and silos. Despite all the efforts to control dust and any ignition sources there are still explosive fires caused by the dust in these facilities from time to time. If you are going to use any form of common household chemical as a fire suppressant it needs to be Baking Soda, such as that yellow box with the arm and hammer on it that so many of us keep in the refrigerator as an air freshener. I think that is a workable plan. 4) Drag them up to the flight deck and give them a free ride on the forward catapults. Especially if there is an area above the door with poor air circulation between the roof and the adjacent walls. GEM 3
Serenity
RTB Pro-Tips! SKU#07023 Sister Ailene! 3-22-23. Started at 11:36 AM. https://www.twitch.tv/reaperminiatures ETA: Anne's show yesterday was canceled because her doggie was sick, and today she told us it is likely Kiki ate part of a mushroom. They recently showed up in their yard, most likely due to the extra rain they've been getting. Doggie looked all right today. Anne also had some good news on her book today, and it was fun to see her reaction as she discovered that news during the stream. Pegazus
Oh how lovely! Looks like a machine shop forgot a step and now the parts don’t fit right. Hoping it is a one off event and won’t be found on every single one sitting on the shelf right now. 1 1

Because nobody looked at the part and Receiving/Inspection didn’t catch the problem when the parts were delivered months ago, it now causes a work stoppage. That’s a VBT for management and gets a lot of attention. And the hits keep rolling today. Got an email asking about some problems I am working on. Got a system notification email that I am now 70 days past due on entering a solution. Yes. That’s the spring problem from yesterday. I AM WORKING IT, SYSTEM THANK YOU VERY MUCH. So I get ANOTHER email asking about the springs, but from a person, so I lose it a little mentally. Email reply is very toned down from what I want to say. A couple more back and forth emails, and I keep my cool even though an inferno burns internally. Confusion seems to be the only reply I get. Then I get a text message: Darin, not those springs. <rereads email> $&&@$$&&&&)!!!!! Many elfs were said, and I feel very fortunate that I didn’t go off on everyone. Oh, and VBT = Very Bad Thing.

WhiteWulfe
1 minute ago, Corsair said: Yeah, that's why I am sticking with a DC layout. Look at @kristof65s T track thread, T Trak might work for you. Bringing this over into random, as it's discussion... TTrack seems nice and all, but it works best with the ability to actually go out and about, while I want a nice switching setup. Well, okay, what I really want is mountains, a canyon, and the ability to run a loop or three, but I'm not converting the entire bedroom over into a full on setup. At least not in the apartment, anyways. Nah, what I want to do is probably about 18" deep, and 6-8' long. Basically a nice contained shelf layout, but with a number of things that can be done on it. Other problem though is finding actual space for such, as I'd have to rearrange a bunch of things to make it happen. I'd even consider O scale, but I prefer two rail so that's harder to pull off, and way more expensive. The biggest issue is a lot of the locomotives I'd want to run tend to be in the $3-400 USD range, which is annoying, but it's also because they're more niche with things. Mid 1980's to 2010's diesel, specifically CN. Yup, orange with zebra stripes locomotives... 😛 or the ones one of the local steel place uses, but I don't recall what they are just yet. But yeah, a big thing really is indecision on which scale. Love the look and feel of O, but HO and N are where the desired locomotives are.
kristof65
@WhiteWulfe As not to derail the Department of Acquisitions thread, @Corsair's dead on with using T-Trak to get into model railroading without breaking the bank/having the space. I've wanted a layout for decades, but didn't have the space at first, and when I finally did, I knew myself well enough to realize that It would only get partially built and never finished. Then I saw T-Trak - took me another decade to actually jump in and do it. The modules are as small as 308mm x 210 mm, but can be as large as 1238mm by 330mm. If you have a local club, then you can run all sorts of large trains. If you (or anyone) wants to check it out, I recommend starting here:https://nationalt-traklayout.com/2020-virtual-layout It's a show case of 400+ modules. 4
