Trying to figure out how to paint the dumpster sitting behind my building.

Contractor or base personnel, either way, Army Green-Olive Drab

…even if it is a contractor. The contract will specify that the dumpster will be painted  a regulation color.

That's the Army Way.

I beg to differ. I tried a google search earlier & I came across this site

https://home.army.mil/lewis-mcchord/index.php/my-Joint-Base-Lewis-Mcchord/all-services/public_works-environmental_division/recycling

Joint base between the Army & the Air Force. Just let the pic at the top cycle through or you can click em. Looks like regular every day dumpsters, but yes AG-OD is the Army way, that's for sure.

Never having been military, I can't answer that, but having worked in prisons, I can tell you that they have leased dumpsters that are taken out by staff for changing emptying. They had no markings to indicate ownership. And I can tell you from personal experience that we weren't supposed to use them to stop warning shots...

With the exception of the "warning shot" rule, that sounds like what I recall of the trash policies for secure areas.  Since they didn't allow just anyone in, those who worked in the area had remove the trash from the secure area - AFTER making sure there weren't restricted materials in it.  Of course, I only had personal knowledge of that at the building level, but I'm pretty sure the same thing applied at a larger level for the secure areas at the shipyard I was stationed at.

Doh!  I don 't know why I didn't think to broaden my search parameters beyond looking for images of "army dumpster".   All my hits were coming up as either overseas bases in the Middle East, or Salvation Army links.

Changing my search terms up located a manual called "Guide for Developing Integrated Solid Waste Management Plans at Army Installations"

Pretty much seems like it's all contracted.

Is this a Teacher of Giants

The latter.

It was great.

You should watch it!

(Heh, heh, heh!)

Monsters that would have failed in early Godzilla movies.

Definitely in the So Bad It's Good category.

So once again, Blue?

Two of the pics Haldir found were fine examples of weathered, faded, Industrial Blue.

Done with my software testing.  is the week over yet?

I asked this question in my T-Trak module thread, but no one has answered it yet - those of you who have spent time on US military bases, who provides the garbage pick up service?  I can't recall if any of the bases I was on contracted with outside civilian companies, or if the base had their own garbage trucks/employees.

Trying to figure out how to paint the dumpster sitting behind my building.

If it's anything like the time when I was in, burned and blistered paint would be totally appropriate.

"Dumpster fires" were a common occurrence.  Why?  Ciggy butts not properly extinguished.

Search term: "Dempster Dumpmaster"
