Cygnwulf
Back at work today after bgg.spring. Played some new games, got some painting done at the paint and take this weekend, acquired several board games from the chairty sale, missed a copy of Advanced Space Crusade by about 30 seconds (literally the guy right in front of me in line claimed it), met some new and old friends and generally had a blast. Jon is talking about doing P&T for the bigger fall con too and I think I'm there. Also let myself get talked into signing up to help with Hobby Hijinx at RCon this ear too, looking forward to being Ludo's Lackey™. 6

WhiteWulfe
I'm still getting used to beimg back at work after three and a half weeks off. Hopefully I don't wish someone a good weekend today - my first customer yesterday I was all "have a great weekend!" but thankfully they laughed and it actually was their Friday (they had tues/wed off). Either way, I'm happy about being at work again, I missed it.
WhiteWulfe
Speaking of heresy, I think I'm going to get on just fine with these alcohol based markers. My poor poor wallet, thinking it was safe for a moment there... Doesn't show progress from last night, but I like the colours, and now that I'm more used to how it does things I suspect the lack of feedback (compared to coloured pencils) isn't going to bug me at all. Why the wallet remark? While I like these Ohuhu Kaala markers, I definitely want to get my paws on some Promarkers, and eventually Copics too.

GEM It wasn't the inspection department. Check the door schedule in the plans by the engineer. I'm willing to bet there was an RFI or a phone call where the engineer wouldn't budge and it went in per plan, or it wasn't realized until installed and time, cost and effort to fix it exceeded anyone's willingness to deal with it. Go get some frost glass film and cut it to fit.

But I still maintain, regardless of engineering or any spec. call out this should have failed inspection, on common sense grounds if for no other reason, and there should be multiple code violations involved in this particular installation. My new job as Senior Administrative Assistant (still at the county health department) seems to be comprised of: 25% learning the personalities and communication styles of current management 25% introduction to the history of the past few decades of inter-departmental drama 50% learning to ask the right questions. That last one has saved me from unintentionally starting drama fires on several occasions and I've only been in my new position for a month. This right here also explains why I'm not afraid of AI replacing me anytime soon. Especially that last one. 4
