My putting on a few pounds made Mum SO HAPPY! She agreed with Grump. 6
Pegazus
I actually have achieved a paperless job. Haven’t printed anything for my job in probably five years. Maybe more? 8

I'll never understand that reasoning. There's a newer, better way of doing things, that actually does save money, resources and space, but... Nope, just keep doing it the way we used to. Meanwhile, other companies I've worked for, the instant they were allowed to switch to the newer ways, they did because... Oh hey, all that paper costs money to bring in, money to store (it takes up space), money to label and sort (manpower hours), and money to destroy. Paper was still used, but a lot less of it. 2 hours ago, Mad Jack said: That right there is absolutely a deal-breaker for me - I once ended a new friendship and possible romance over it... We're going through a little bit of that right now, some folks are clinging to the old ways like it's a life preserver and they're in the middle of the ocean.

We're going through a little bit of that right now, some folks are clinging to the old ways like it's a life preserver and they're in the middle of the ocean. Even I've technically been one of those people, at least in some eyes. My previous job we routed manually, and they finally brought in electronic routing, which had a lot of promises... But it also didn't get any training, or actual road knowledge, so it would constantly assume you could turn left somewhere, when in reality there was a concrete barrier there, and it didn't care if that was a very traffic intense area with four lanes of traffic each way, it thought you could do the turn without waiting. New company, our routing software works so much better, but we also have someone doing the routing who's been a driver in the city for 20+ years and who knows most of the tricky areas, so if the software tries to pull shenanigans, he fixes them. But at the old job, I wasn't a stick in the mud about it, I wanted the new routing so it would help me get out sooner, but before I was laid off it still hadn't gotten the training on a variety of things (including promises that had been made to large companies that they'd be delivered before noon and such). I also greatly prefer at this job my truck is loaded, and boxes are assigned to shelves. So handy.
Thoramel
I'm not a big Ren Faire guy, but if I get to ride a giant opossum at the West Virginia Faire then it may be worth the drive... 10

Thoramel
What are you talking about? That is a picture of me riding a giant opossum. Well a painting anyways. It was hard to get her to stay still for that long.
TGP
I didn’t know they had Possums in the European Renaissance. Kinda believed the critters were native to the Americas. So, basically just Jamestown. 3

Green Eyed Monsty
Saw a license plate frame today at the local Kroger Store indicating the owner is a Graduate of Miskatonic University. I was sorely tempted to hang around until the owner returned to their vehicle and ask them "Have you heard the word about our Lord and Savior Cthulhu?".
