Nah, my wife and I were out last night, <gasp> actually socializing with other people. IN PERSON, EVEN! Green Eyed Monsty
The latest from the same country that brought the world flat-pack furniture, the [almost] flat-pack automobile: https://www.autoblog.com/2023/05/30/this-swedish-startup-wants-to-be-the-ikea-of-evs-with-tiny-flat-pack-cars-that-cost-11-000/ By the time they hang all the US "safety requirements" on this it will go 44 mph and have a range of 35 miles. GEM That's still sufficient for most city-dweller needs. Everything I need is within 10 miles of me, and DH seldom needs to drive that far for work. Unfortunately what it lacks for most Americans is cargo space. I doubt you can get more than a few sacks of groceries in that thing, forget trips to the hardware store, garden center, or IKEA. And while 10k is a great price for a car, I got a real one brand new for 13k not too long ago. (before inflation hit).

Unfortunately, for us "country folk" the vehicle won't even make a Costco Run without a recharge, plus it is way to slow. US-50, our way into town, has a speed limit of 65mph and people regularly do 75mph+, with the big rigs [and Nevada has legal triples on the road every day] running as fast as they can to keep momentum up the hills. so this "scooter" would be in danger of getting blown off the road by the faster vehicles, never mind the Gale Force Winds we get on a routine basis. Nice for the "city people" but a side by side OHV for about the same price would be more practical for a lot of people. GEM
