Gadgetman!
Visited the Atlantic Ocean Road this morning... I think it's called Pollock in the States? It was about 2Kg when brought home, so probably nearly 3Kg with head, tail and guts still included. And they're a pain to haul on a rod when they get to that size. They just gape with their mouth, and go limp. It's like reeling in a brown brick! (I 'cheat'. I have a Lawson GTR-T20 II reel, and the 'II' indicates it's a two-speed) The best time to fish there is on the outgoing tide, preferably in the early morning. It IS possible to catch fish on the incoming tide, too. But most will avoid the afternoon. Too many elfed tourists taking pictures of you and your catch, or even complaining that you're dirtying the place or torturing the fish and that they'll report you to the tourist board or something. As if that would help... (The walkbridges were in fact made for fishing. It was the only way to get fishermen off the main roadbridges!)

Glitterwolf
Roofers are done. Anxious me needs to let go now. It looks good, hope this will last at least another 15 to 25 years. This leaves us with the roof with skylights. They applied a few patches, rest looks good it seems. I can patch a spot myself with self adhesive roofing if more pop up, hopefully I can postpone having that one done for a few years, it will be expensive because of those bloody skylights.

I don't see any protective gear on the child to protect against beesting. GEM I think it's staged. (I don't know why someone would, but that's a different topic) Maybe I'm giving humanity too much credit, but I really can't believe someone is THAT stupid. 10 hours ago, Citrine said: That is what is called planned obsolescence, and that is something that should be outlawed if we want to keep the planet livable. I hate that phrase and everything it stands for. I understand businesses need to keep selling product to continue making money, but if you make an excellent product that I DON'T have to replace every other year, I'll tell everyone who'll listen how awesome your doo-dad is and how they should buy yours instead of somebody else's. I also 100% agree with you.

Moderator Chaoswolf Posted June 10 Author Moderator Share Posted June 10 (edited) You're all set. I think it may have been a leftover from when we were getting all the airline spam bots. ( You mentioned the word airlines ) ETA---yup, it's " airline" or "airlines" that triggers it. I just had to approve my own post. Have fun in the Netherlands! I don't know what your travel plan is, but if you like theme parks do visit De Efteling! ( it's in Kaatsheuvel, far from Amsterdam though) In Amsterdam there's a great Zoo called Artis. 6
