Randomness: the 18th sequel

Every time a UK seller ships something to me via FedEx, it looks like they drop kicked it across the pond. I took a photo of the last box in case something was missing, as the whole side was torn. They were MDF models in sheets, so they were okay. I couldn't even take a photo of the box without the cat showing up to help.

I'll never understand the fascination with Costco. I worked for them, twice. Once as a sample lady, and again in the distribution centre. Neither was a gratifying experience. The manager thought I wrote HOMO on a pallet, I was like, "That's ridiculous. They're shipping numbers from China, that's why it has a whole bunch of other numbers and letters behind it."

My parents think they have to go there to get water, but half the time, they don't have any. They sell water in big jugs in the village. Dad goes for coffee two or three times a week in the village. Buy water in the village. They claim that they buy a whole cartful at once and that's why they need to go to Costco. Get it as you need it from the village, you're there almost every day between the two of you.

Wow.

Did whatever's inside survive?

I got a package from Reaper today, and it’s in pristine condition. 8 square corners.

@Great Khan Artist  errrrr, by “pond” do you mean the North Atlantic?  ?

That'd be quite the drop kick.

It's a pre-Christmas miracle!! They actually fixed the power jack! Good thing too, as I've got to move at least 10  pallets to even start tonight. Gotta love the worthless closing manager.

Thou, some things don't change as the darn thing needs a charge already...sigh.

Your folks might not be the only ones buying whole cartfuls at Costco.

It would explain why Costco runs dry.

Today I learned: We almost always get at least 8 hours of daylight even on the shortest day of the year. I woke up and wondered where the sun was. Maybe it's so cold it's frozen beyond the horizon. I feel like an ancient shaman, I should sing and drum the sun awake. I had to look it up. Even on 21 and 22 December, we get 7 hours 50 minutes of daylight. The sun should be here about 8:30. More reliable than the bus, anyway.

Our grocery store has had a limit on how many distilled water jugs a family can buy. Drinking water has no limit. Not sure what is going on there. Bugs the wife because she needs to make a lot of nasal saline spray due to her surgery and they are often out of stock. Cheaper to make that than buying the saline of course.

Apologies for anyone that got dizzy last night. Could be the 63° counterclockwise adjustment I put into the universe last night. But things are now aligned and we can start moving about easily.

Yah work has a limit as well.  All I know is when I come in for work each night the shelf is usually gutted for the day. Luckily we don't need to fill it every night,  that is the closers job.

Picked up 2 hours of OT this morning,  load was on time but it was big, plus we didn't have enough carts to load up the entire load at once so it felt like it was bigger due to the size of each cart. Plus,  I will admit coworker & I kinda shut it down as far as speed after 8 this morning...I mean why.
