They filmed up here, and in addition to being thrown out of a scene because "I know that place," they also filmed right where I used to work. They filmed an armored car robbery on the street corner. Without notifying the residents where I worked. With fake gunfire and explosions. So, I got to spend a while talking down a Vietnam vet from going over there and busting heads. In short, screw their production staff.] EDIT: I forgot to post this. Remember our conversation a while back, about game design and such? Well, I ended up typing up some more thoughts, as well as combining it with some thoughts I had about my friend looking for a good horror game. You can read it if you like. So good. I have all five seasons of it on dvd, and rewatch the entire thing at least once a year. One of my favorite tv shows ever. Make sure you watch the reboot/sequel shows, Leverage: Redemption, as well - they did another sixteen episodes set ten years after the original, starring Noah Wylie. (Right now they're available on FreeVee free (with ads)...

But what comes out of her mouth is "does this rag smell like chloroform to you?" Mum has an almost exact same war story from her early RPG days, when the DM and her fellow players thought that the female rogue would automatically be skilled at seduction. Her rogue had an 8 Charisma. They never asked her to attempt a seduction again - she used a cosh, not chloroform. 4

Thank you for not including me on the list of Co-Conspirators. I was "brown shoe Navy", as in Naval Aviation. If it doesn't have a flight deck it fits the definition of "target". Most likely the city and the film crew each assumed that the other would notify the residents. In general the wording of the contracts puts the responsibility on the municipality - the production company simply does not have that information. I have not seen it with TV series - but there have been a few movies filmed in cities were I have lived, in the cases of Portland, Maine both the Public Works Department and the Police Department sent notices - The Department of Redundancy Agency. Well now, my day has pretty much shot to hell, woke up about an hour ago, but I'm heading back to sleep here in a few. Since we didn't have a load Friday morning, thanks in part to our "shippy (replace the "P"s) warehouse computer system, we paid for it last night. Load showed up around it's usual time of 2:30 (actually that's early, normally around 3 am) am, driver is like "Yah, got 16 boards for yah...." Out of those 16, 9 of them were pallets I had to down stack, normally I've been doing around 3 to 5 pallets, so pretty much double the amount. It also didn't help, it was just my 2nd guy & myself, as the 3rd guy had request the night off. Luckily, the GM dept help decided to help us out, even thou he didn't wanna help the grocery mgr (they absolutely don't like it each other), he didn't want to see us work our tails off. Around 9 to 10, the grocery mgr finally jumped in to help us out. It ended up being 12 hours & 10 minutes shift. Gotta love those kinda days!! All this due to a crappy auto-ordering system that if it misses a day, thinks we need more to replace day that gets missed. I'm gonna go back to sleep now..... 1

Was wondering when someone would suggest this. If movies and TV are to be believed, all it takes for that kind of favour is a few phone calls for favours to be redeemed and magically those phone calls also make a multiple day trip be like... Half an hour or so, or just long enough for someone to win a friendly poker game.. Oh, and somehow there would also be a gift of a tank or a fighter jet for the surprise host, naturally. Or because this is totally fictitious, a tank-jet. Yup, Robotech had three mode fighters but somehow we have a tank/jet hybrid for Glitterwolf, and OF COURSE it has a kettle, we aren't savages! 1
