Does anyone know if there are any "leftover" goodies from ReaperCon, and if they will be offered as in past years?

GEM

I think the swag bags already went up and sold out. I think the Ed tribute figures are as well.

And I have no idea what Last Knigget is talking about. His mother was a Cricetinae, and his father smelt of the fruits of Sambucus.

For those who haven't checked it out, in Rhonda's Beyond the Kit she spent the episode examining the contents of the Barrowgate box and the swag bag in detail.  She went so far as putting the minis next to Sir Forscale so you can see how they size up.  Some of the dwarves are rather massive.  She shows how the tweezers work on a 3D print.  She also swatched the twelve paints from the Barrowgate box and the three from the swag bag.

Probably, though I know it by the name of "six step troubleshooting".  Basically, divide the system into sections of inputs and outputs, and look where things go wrong.   As taught to me by the Navy, but it turned out I have a natural knack for it, though it took me years to move beyond that natural knack.

When I first got into car wash, it was for a wash machine manufacturer, and I was really thrown for a loop by car wash machines.   Up until that point, all of the stuff I had worked on was pretty much just electronic,, with the most complex electromechanical devices being pinball machines.     I almost quit the job the first month because I just wasn't grasping the combination of mechanical movements, pumps and valves to move water and chemicals and the electronic control systems of them all.  Then suddenly I had an epiphany about how to break them down into individual systems and apply my troubleshooting knowledge to those systems.  My skills grew A LOT that year.

I do struggle with teaching those skills to others, especially over the phone. So a lot of the documents I've written are basically worksheets to help sites provide accurate info I can use to troubleshoot.   But this is personally my favorite document:

It's not really teaching any sort of troubleshooting methods, making it easy & helpful enough for anyone with a modicum of reading comprehension.

Having had to create many desk references and flow charts for coworkers, I appreciate your well-put together document. I hadn't thought about how my giving an opinion could derail things, so I'll try to keep that in mind for our IT guys in the future.

Sooooo, hypothetically speaking, if I redid Boldly Into Darkness Go for Dungeon Dwellers and ran it at a Reapercon... who might be interested?

So far, the manager hasn't tried to ding me for the sign. I'll let sleeping dogs lie (lay?) for now.

In work drama, oh boy, we got some stuff. Someone is getting fired for something I can't even talk about, but let's just say there's no way we could keep him around after what happened. I will say that it was nothing violent but it's BAD. And one of our best workers put in their notice. She puts in something near 60 hours a week. But they couldn't afford to give her a raise. So, I wonder why she's leaving? :upside:

Beyond that, we've got a new person that's in my position and she's not doing some stuff and then randomly changing things for no reason I can figure out. It's like, why are you coming into a place and just doing random things without asking anyone? And not even the stuff that doesn't make sense? There's always a method for the madness, I assure you. Then, we had someone that quit, but just came back. And she's just as lazy as she was the first time. I don't want to complain to the bosses about it but I'll probably just find a job somewhere else, rather than try to fix the problems. It's not my job to solve all the problems, if they wanted me to, they could pay me what I'm worth.

Now, I have an apartment that's been torn apart and I need to put it back together again. When that is finished, I have promised myself that I'm going to sit down and paint some minis... Or die trying. :zombie:
