A ham, peas and homade bread - 

a  few things got cut so im not sure it qualified as a feast meal -  which was fine cause my stomach is still recovering from being sick. 
We have a family tradition of homade cinnamon rolls for x-mas breakfast -  and the kids had leftovers as desert.

 I'm starting a petition to have winter end right after New Year's - anybody else want to sign it? I'm pretty much done with winter right now. I'm tired of being cold.

I'd love to, but the alternative means it being hot that much more here in Texas, so I'm going to have to decline.

 

In other news, I slept waaay in this morning. My cats were not impressed.

My sympathies to those of you suffering from the effects of winter.

However, like @Chaoswolf, I must decline your invitation as it would unduly prolong the time of year when running the air conditioning is a necessity.

We had what's slowly becoming one of our traditions... Beef stew, and although I forgot to get stock it turns out it was still fairly flavourful and lovely, so I was pretty happy there!

All the fuss over the load getting there on Saturday was all for naught, as Saturday I got a text from the ast mgr & she said due to the overwelming work at the warehouse, they wouldn't be able to get all the loads out early, so they instead are bring the load in tonight. Co-worker & I came in last night, as she didn't want us to lose hours this week, pretty much all we did was face the shelves as the store was trashed on Christmas eve. 3rd guy even showed up, I barely said anything to him, just told him to pull the backroom & work product. Also told him he needed to talk with the managers when they got there that morning.

 

Co-worker is annoyed about tonight as he had plans tomorrow, so he joked about not showing up, as it's not like they could do anything to him, he's not on the schedule & they haven't told him about it (technically he's right). I told him whatever, do what you feel you need to do. I'm just wondering if we are going to get back to back loads this week, as we are suppose to be in regular load schedule. We shall see.

Well, weekend report. Christmas Eve was a lot of fun as family came over for Italian Beef, baked ham and cheese sandwiches, Buffalo Chicken dip, meatballs, etc. Presents opened, games played and lots of laughter and fun. Sunday was Church, then leftovers for us and another Nephew and family got in about 10pm. More presents and laughter and hugs. Today, Uncle Corsair won a historic victory [will probably NEVER happen again] as our 20 month old g'niece Mollie was getting carried around by Uncle Corsair and Aunt Sue-Sue came over and asked her if she wanted to go to her. She said no! She wanted to stay with me! As my lovely wife is a magnet for ALL of the kids, we were astounded. The kid has no taste, but I am happy! So then we all got around to head to Branson Missouri for the week, we had three of our teenage g'nieces in the truck with us, so it was a hysterical trip. Gonna be a really fun week as the rest of the kids and family arrive.
