Evilhalfling
Dinner was so good tonight - Something about the snow and the dark at the end of the year gives me a craving or indian food. I tried Malai Kofta (potato and paneer balls ) as my new dish and was excellent - the chicken noodles, and appetizer sampler were similarly excellent. even minispawn wrapped up chicken in cheesy naan bread and added unlabeled sauces. The local indian restrant "Spices of India" was had few filled tables but a steady stream of takeaway orders. Sorry no lovely plated pictures 😞 Edited December 31, 2022 by Evilhalfling

Kill the beastie then it's time for some additional butchery to get those glands, which are then exchanged for the metal value. For the gems, a similar process to that which develops Kidney Stones does the work. Same as above, kill the beastie then do the butchery, then off to the exchange for a payday. GEM In mmorpg, I've always just simply said, the coins come out of their butts.... Squeeze the beasty & pop, out come the coins. Thou during rpgs if the players decide to gut the creature, it all depends on they might find. Oddly, my players don't do allot of "check what it ate" checks. As far as NYE stuff for me, I'll be working tonight. It'll be a slooowwww day on the account of time & half the entire shift. I mean why work fast when you don't need too?

aku-chan
A doubly disappointing end to the year! After using it on a regular basis for over 20 years, I've completely forgotten my PIN number! Gotta take a trip to the bank in the new year to get my card unlocked. Also, I was browsing Kickstarter last night, and came across a D&D supplement where you play as living foodstuffs, and now I really want to paint some minis based on their art, but there isn't any. I thought about posting in the 'Minis I'd like to see' thread, but I think, even with Reaper's reputation for making some pretty niche minis, they're draw the line at a Hot Dog Brawler or an elderly Stuffed-Crust Pizza Slice Wizard! 5
haldir
Finally got through reading Shadows of War, the official 5e adventure for Dragonlance. Overall I enjoyed reading it, as the story is good, the encounters are challenging (especially at the end) & such. Also re-visiting old rpg stomping grounds (sorta) was nice for the nostalgia in me, as DL was my traditional D&D setting when we played back in high school. There is one problem, I just can't avoid thou, the whole leaning towards every important NPC being female bothers me. I feel like I read through a Paizo product. I know in this day & age, representation, diversity, etc etc is top priority in gaming products, especially in ones that the main audience are males (& most likely white) but I felt like it was pushed onto the reader. I noticed the trend in the adventure during the first part, the village of Vogler as every important NPC you meet is female, with the exception of the "knight-in-training". The mayor, the merc leader & the imbedded Solamnic knight are all female. Even a special character you meet in the village is female, but I totally understand her being female as it's part of her backstory/history with a very important NPC in the whole DL saga. I for one would have rather seen it more evenly split between male & female NPCs tbh. I mean yes, if I run this adventure, which I might after my Witchlight/Saturday adventure ends, I'm free to change whatever I don't like, but I also like to use the artwork from the adventure or official products for the adventure. So yah it would be extra work & I couldn't use already made products I don't mind spending a few bucks on. Overall thou, I did enjoy the adventure, it doesn't have familiar DL sites but it does have a Krynn feel to it. Thou, I understand why it doesn't as this is set a few years before the first DL trilogy comes out + it doesn't step on those places & such for people that want to enjoy reading about them in the novels. It doesn't feature allot of dragon battles, more dragonnel (more or less, lesser dragon mounts) but the ones that do are pretty memorable in the story. It also brings in the Draconians to 5e stats & each of those does bring back old familiar memories of throwing those at my friends when we played. I may end up getting the big epic Wizkids dragons for the main protagonists, unless I can find suitable stl files. We shall see.

TGP
Happy New Year Everybody !!!! Let it be noted I am not early. It is already 2023 in or on: Kiritimati Island (the first inhabited place to experience 2023) Tonga Samoa Kiribati New Zealand Japan Australia . . . and the list will only grow after I post this. The last country to let go of 2022? That is the United States. Specifically the uninhabited US territories of Howland Island and Baker Island, those are the last places that will experience 2022.
