Randomness: the 18th sequel

Homeownership fun today. Kitchen sink has been draining slowly. So call RototRooter. They worked it last time, about a decade ago.

It’s never a good sign when the first thing the guy says is, “Oh, wow… huh”.

It appears that the previous owners’ cheapskate tendencies have bit me again. Tech is saying that it’s obvious that an end fitting at one time broke off and a cheap replacement was made instead of it being done right the first time. So more money once again to get it fixed properly.

In other news, the state of Connecticut is crying over spilt milk - The DEEP had to clean up around 1500 gallons of split milk after a tanker truck crash yesterday... And I was all out of cookies, dammit.

I feel your pain.

We've found the same thing with our house as well.  Nothing major so far, probably since the home wasn't that old when we  bought it, but little things. like a toilet tank flush chain being fixed with twist ties.  Found so many of them the first year that we started calling them "Gerrit-rigged", after the previous owner.

Pretty sure I got most of them cleaned up.  We did wind up having to replace the furnace and siding, but those were more due to age and neglect than being Gerrit-rigged.

I just realized that Karateka to this day remains the only fighting game I ever fully completed. No other villages ever got to bask in the sunlight of peace...

Spotted a young Lt. Tuvok working security at the mall on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air before he landed the position on the Voyager…

I notice that his name tag has five letters, but I can't read it.  I wonder if it says Tuvok?

Tpday, one of my coworkers bit a manager on his nose, hard enough that he needs stitches.

And because the manager is the one that started the physical altercation, the coworker is staying, the manager is leaving.

This same manager got into a physical altercation with a customer a few months ago.

The manager is maybe four inches taller than Megan.

He picked a fight with a tow truck driver.

Who whupped the tar out of him.

I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around 'bit him on the nose' - what is this, kindergarten?

Not missing this manager - who seriously needs psychiatric help.

There's a Pepsi bottling plant down the road from me ... When we were kids and it snowed, we'd build walls of snow across the road for the Pepsi trucks to crash through as they drove past. The drivers would always hit their horn and speed up to plough through them. Secretly, I always sort of hoped one of the trucks would crash some day, so we could make off with all the soda that fell out of the truck.

Out of curiosity I downloaded the pic and tried to blow it up but the resolution isn't high enough to actually read it.

The first character looks like a Letter C so the answer is "probably not".
