(we bribed her into our lives with fish scraps from cleaning and processing) And when I visit, well, Diddy claims my lap for her own. You described her well, fluffy, laid back, prone to murder. Won't eat rats, but will sure kill them. Doesn't much bother with birds, since they fly away, and anything else is fair game.
Pegazus
Monday morning and I had to peel myself off the ceiling already. I really hate when people just talk out their backsides about something I am in charge of. Please, if you delegate the task, delegate it and don’t fill in the blanks with your own desirements. Project engineer sent an email to upper management on the status of what’s notionally my test with him as the “customer”. Mangled the entire plan and was wrong. He was just interpreting what was in his head as the way he’d like things to be as being factual. Without input from the test lab or the engineer in charge. I will note that I managed to delete my initial email reply before I sent it and replaced it with something a lot more … less crass and berating.

These were, admittedly, mostly covering more obscure words. Samuel Johnson published the first comprehensive English dictionary in 1775, which led to standardised spelling. Noah Webster Jr. didn't publish his anti-dictionary (a book of how he thought words should be spelled even if nobody spelled them that way) until 1806 and the Merriam name didn't get attached until after Webster died in 1843 and the Merriam brothers obtained the rights to his book. Thanks for that. FYI Webster's Dictionary has been considered the standard "go to" in the USA since shortly after its first publication. I'm aware it wasn't the first, but for its day it was the most comprehensive and has been through numerous revisions to keep it current. The picture of "stuff on a bun" looks more Navajo inspired than Tex-Mex. Navajo have a dish called "Navajo Taco" which is flatbread with beans in a chili style sauce, meat, and "goodies" on top. Similar to the sandwich but with a different bread style product. Very tasty and filling. I managed to locate a picture of these as served at the Cameron Trading Post. east of the Grand Canyon, in Northern Arizona, on the Navajo Reservation. I used to stop there on my perambulations through the are while I was yanking tankers for Apex. Here's another pic of Navajo Taco, as served at Earl's in Gallup New Mexico. Gallup used to be our first overnight stop when traveling on I-40, going to such things as Reapercon. We'd always stop there, both for the food and for the "tableside shopping" where local Indian Crafters would display there merchandise on the covered porch and bring stuff tableside for sale.
