Popular Post Dr Boom
Just starting off The Wild Beyond the Witchlight and I thought I'd share my character's mini. Lorcan is a youngish Firbolg Druid who has shut himself away from society after an unfortunate accident has made him terrified of hurting those around him. He rarely speaks above a shy mumble and much prefers the company of forest creatures to civilised folk. He is a radical pacifist and refuses to intentionally harm any sentient creature, lest his darker side emerge again. Lorcan has reluctantly agreed to help the warlock Madryck Roslof find out what has happened to his patron, after the old man showed him kindness and guidance as he got used to his new found powers. I had pulled out the pack of Nolzur's Male Firbolg Druids, but they're a little more self-assured in their demeanour. Then I remembered that Bones V had a trio of beautifully sculpted Firbolg Wildfolk. This mini was a real pleasure to paint - such clean lines and a enough blank canvas to try out a little freehand. The expression on the face suits what I have in mind for Lorcan's childlike innocence. The Wild Beyond the Witchlight bills itself as an adventure which one can complete without entering combat, so I think I might test that with Lorcan. My wife is playing a Bugbear Barbarian. We'll see how that works out. 26

Grand Slam
I love that staff...very realistic woodgrain! Nice color scheme on his clothing, too. The orange complements both the green clothing and the blue skin. I also like how deep the shaded areas on his clothing are.
