Popular Post Ganryu Kojiro
Finished the Djinni Sultan from the elemental scions set. The efreeti is already done and the dao and marid are both started. I really like these sculpts and they all really demand embellishments. The jewels and the bottle in particular were fun (thanks to Holk's Workshop for those techniques). First time I tried a lightning effect since I painted a massive blue dragon last year, too. Comments and criticism are welcome.
kazmania7
Luv your skin tones, but the sword is absolutely beautiful with colors. Kudos. 2

KruleBear
Cool. The sword is the star, but the lightning, and glow of his eyes are nice touches. 2
Mckenna35
Cool! I love the eyes and skin. One thing is all the maroon has the same tonal range i.e. the fabric pants, fabric turban and metal/lamellar scales all have the same level of highlights. It feels like the tops of the scales need to be pushed brighter to show they're a different material? It's really great paint job as is! 1

Part of the reason for that was to keep focus on the blues and the gold, but I could really sell the materials better.

Grand Slam
Fantastic! The effects on the sword (as well as the lightning underneath him) are great. As has been said, the gems and bottle also came out wonderfully. I enjoy the way that his entire outfit basically consists of primary colors, but you've made use of a wide range of each color. It makes things simultaneously pleasing and interesting for the eye.
