I'm always a sucker for characters sitting on thrones. My absolute favorite part of your paint job is that white skull. Everything else on the model has those deep, dark colors. The whitish skull on the actual figure really stands out and serves as an appropriate/effective focal point.

 

I also love the effect on the sword and the colors you used on that armor. What a great piece.

Although I didn't think of its effect on the overall composition, I did spend more time on his skull than any of the ones around and on the throne, and made it a bit brighter to stand out. The rest was more a "happy accident" of a good sculpt. 😉
