Slug Eat Your Face, sculpted by Tom Meier for Thunderbolt Mountain miniatures

Here's another one I just finished, also from Thunderbolt Mountain Miniatures, The Slug Eat Your Face, conceptualized by Theo Meier and sculpted by his dad Tom.

 

Easy and quick miniature to paint once you decide on colors:

 

 

The pupil in the big eye is a little weird as Mr. Meier basically just put a hole where he thought the pupil might be so that's the black part of his pupil and the other little eye was so deeply sculpted in, and also the pupil was sculpted inwards, that it was a little hard to reach, but a fun miniature to paint just the same!

Thunderbolt has so many odd and classic items, from noble elves to dastardly goblins to humungous slugs, everything they have done has been pure magic! And lots of it  is now available in Ral Partha Legacy, which is great because those miniatures haven’t been lost to the fickle winds of the past.

I think the key to this slug is the eyes. If you can get some cool eyes going on, you’re good to go! You’ve got lots of space to play with the large eye!

Yeah...very cool eyes. The bloodshot effect really works well. I also like the color scheme on his body. He seems like the kind of creature you shouldn't fight, just...avoid and forget you saw it.

It was so hard to pick his colors. I knew I wanted his belly to be light but everything else took forever to decide on. 
 

yeah, I think I’d just wait for him to slowly slug on by and then run the other way!

Those are great colors - and the eyes are so full of character - he has a kooky old school feel to him that warms my crusty heart

Thanks Iridil!  I really love his eyes, it’s almost like somebody is squeezing his body and his big eye just wants to pop out.  Tom Meier did a great job on this figure, he took me forever to get around to painting, but I’m glad I finally did!
