buckyball
Happy New Year you guys. For me 2023 will be mostly a continuation of 2022. I have ground down the pile of bones 5 terrain I needed to paint so I will focus less on that this year, and more of painting game tokens. My goals for January are: Paint a game token for Marvel United Paint an ogre for Rangers of Shadow Deep Start some figures from the annual box Start this quarter's terrain piece buckyball Hobby goals for 2023 Painting one large terrain piece each quarter or several smaller pieces. The goal here is to complete enough to use in a game or scenario Painting the 17 miniatures in my annual box [ ] Painting one game token each month [ starting at 1] Painting three Mithril miniatures each quarter. This works out to an average of one per month; but this way I can paint them in batches [ 1 so far] I also have the unusual goal of not buying any miniatures (for myself) in 2023. I have no idea how I will accomplish this ( 24 days since my last miniature purchase)
strawhat
Are all aspirants abandoning awesome alliterative affirmations? Ok, I'll stop. Now that Mrs. Strawhat and I have the house to ourselves (for the time being): Finish first batch of Genestealer Cult (Patriarch, Kelermorph, Magus, Hybrid Neophytes, Aberrations). HeroQuest Core Goblins Bones 5 Trolls
Zink
No set long term plans as I seem to rarely work on them. So just try to paint some things as often as I can. At the moment I'm continuing added to 3D prints to my WW2 1.285 armies. I have most of what I want for late war Germans and Soviets and have now started working on 1941 East Front units for them. Got a cheap airbrush for Christmas so want to try it out but don't really know what yet. There's always my 25 year old Warhammer Empire army to keep painting and lots of other minutes primed and waiting if the mood catches me.
Inarah
I'm still working my way through several boxes of KS terrain from last year. For a while I was trying to snip and clean one sprue a day, but my painting lagged WAY behind, and I underestimated how quick it would go. So I'm still plugging through that. My January goal is to finish the stuff I started in November.

WhiteWulfe
Gonna cast a wide net and see how things go. Left paw's doing better, so hopefully I can manage at least an hour per session. Will know better as time goes by, but here's what I'm aiming for... - Get paint on Termagaunts! - Finish up arms/shoulders/head/chest for Zaku 1 Sniper - Finish building MG Ginn - Paint Sir Fuzzbutt the Eevee - Build Mr Red Fox (actual name to come later), the clay fox thingy dad couldn't resist picking up at art store for me (Jan 15th!) Brianuk
Am working through a Greek army based on the Bones 5 expansion. It's going pretty well, about 70 minis now. Want to do some centaurs this month. Then I'm trying to have some squads for the new Xenos Rampant game. I'd painted lots of minis for Stargrave, and the idea has been to try and bump all of the 5/10 man collections into some bigger 30 man forces. This month I want to have painted some generic space soldiers (ie imperial guard/trooper types). Things on the periphery/ideas that are building include having a wierd war one at (creepy French probably), and I now have a bunch of musketeer type minis from Freebooters Fate. So I'd like to push those to front of the queue this month. I'm doing well at getting through models buy focusing on what I need for games, but it does mean that individual paint schemes can suffer. I've a few methods I fall back on that all look good from 4 feet...
Great Khan Artist
I'm doing Greeks this month too! I'm starting on the haul that Lucid Eye sent me. They made an oops and sent me over twice as many javelineers as they were supposed to. A happy accident, as the unarmoured ones will be perfect for Sandgrave thugs. I have been looking for Bronze Age thugs for two years. I will have to learn to sculpt simple weapons for them, clubs mostly. Swords and armour was expensive, nothing but the cheapest for these guys! Now that they're here, it's time to order shield decals from Little Big Men. My Typhon starter set by Croc Games has arrived. Now that I have new days off, I can go to the local game store when it's open and re-stock my paints. If they are feeling friendly, I might have to pick up that Thousand Sons boxed set and play Warhammer 40K. I'm waiting a few more days for the January releases to drop before ordering more bases and goodies from Reaper. It's a big Bones 5 month, so go have a snoop!

Citrine
I felt super productive today on the hobby front. I finished entering all the Blacklist minis into my tracking spreadsheet, I then started and finished a speed painted Wizkids baby dragon, and I also finished the Bones 5 witch. This brings me up to 5 minis finished in January, so surpassed my goal!
