First minis of 2023 dungeon dwellers complete

That's a wrap! I finished my bones 5 dungeon dweller kickstarter pledge. I tried something different on the ogre. I painted him in my off white color of choice then washed the entire mini in brown wash before applying the AP speed paints. It looks okay. The dragon was done in "regular" grisaille. Charcoal base, mid grey for the first dry brush and then my off white for the zenithal dry brush. I don't think I pushed the red highlights far enough though. Either way, dungeons dwellers (the base set) is complete. Now on to the pile of grey to see what else needs painted.

Congrats on tackling the entire bunch. That's quite an accomplishment. I think your technique worked well on the ogre. You've got a lot of definition going on with those muscles (and the leather/wood bits came out great).

 

I think the dragon looks pretty sharp, too. I can see what you mean about the red highlights, but it can be hard to tell how far is far enough with red. One suggestion I would have is to consider darkening up the underbelly a bit. The yellowish belly kind of blends in with the gold. A darker belly might create a bit more contrast/definition. Just an idea.

 

Again, congratulations on finishing the entire expansion.
