Hi all,

 

We launched out latest stl files campaign on Kickstarter. We released the resin versions of the Cyber Belles back in 2019 and a lot of people have asked us if we would release the stl files so we did! 🙂

forgive me for being rude, but I don't understand why kickstarter for these.  The resin figures were released ages ago. The STL files that were used to produce the mold masters presumably are around and there are no stretch goals.  Presumably you'll do fulfilment through MMF, why not just put them up for sale on MMF and skip giving kickstarter a cut?

Fair points and I do understand the thoughts. You're not rude at all, we only appreciate it! 🙂

The reason is actually quite simple, Kickstarter is where the people are at! The reach is much wider and the chances of success are much greater. The campaign itself brings the stuff and also our name into the spotlight and from a marketing perspective it makes more sense. If we would just put them on MMF then we wouldn't reach as much people as we do on KS to be honest. I know sales is a dirty word sometimes in this industry but without KS it would be hard for us to do keep doing what we love to do. 

Back in 2021 we tried to rely less on KS and well to be honest, that year was terrible!! Doing these stl files campaigns allows us to create funds for new projects for Ouroboros and other stuff we are working on. People had been asking us for years if we would release the stl files of our busts and minis and we chose to do it this way as we know it works.
