Outstanding job...excellent overall color color scheme that is driven to even greater heights by the highlighting work. The detail bits such as the stripes on the pants and the pages in the book are also nicely-done.

 

To echo what kazmania said, there's no need to actually *remove* the existing base if you want to go further with it. Just gluing her onto a flat but of material and building it up into whatever design you wish should work out just fine (I agree with you...I'd be terrified about the prospect of trying to cut such a beautifully-painted finished mini off of the base).

Wow that is quite te base! Overall scene is wonderful and inspiring - she is the jewel on the crown! Love the posing of the skeletons and how her colors draw you to her -
