I wasn't sure what color the skin should be, so I just went with a color I thought could blend in to many scenic areas.  In this case I picked him for desert.  He stands out enough but also ties into the environment.

Nicely done!

As far as Kroot color goes, I've generally seen them green-ish.  But they could be any color (their leaders direct their evolution in any number of ways to meet their current needs--they're kind of "Tyranid-Lite").

Maybe they're actually feldgrau...

I'd say that skin-tone definitely fits the environment (great base, by the way). I'm liking the smooth highlighting on the skin. The purple bits are also a nice way if adding some pops of color (again, great blending).

If I'd have any suggestions for the future, it might be to darken up the color of the weapon's stock (just so it doesn't blend into the figure as much). It's definitely not a huge deal, though, and my suggestion is an *extremely* focused nitpick.

Great work!

I don't know if there's an 'official' color, but in my head, I've always pictured them sort of the way you did this one. Very nice work on him, he definitely fits into his environment.

This is even more of a nitpick than Grand Slam's---if you look closely, the bottom part of the stock of his rifle is a blade, just like the one on the barrel.

That's super nit picky, and I only know it because I have some of them, so I've seen them up close.

I really don't see anything else that needs work.

Did you make the base, or is it bought from somewhere?

@Chaoswolfthat's a blade? I thought that was wood from the butt of the rifle.  Dang it!  Thank you for letting me know and absolutely not feeling nit picked.

For the base, it's one i made and I copied nearly exactly the tutorial from a guy on YouTube, who has some great work on bases. His name is Brushstroke77. Has some great work! Highly recommend.
