jdizzy001
Quick question, is there going to be an effort to consolidate bones lines or is Reaper planning to maintain all the different lines (OG bones, bones black, usa bones)?
vpoirier000
pretty sure all 3 lines will continue existing og bones seems optimal for large minis black for small ones coming from kickstarter (mass) and usa for small in-house batches
Count Urlik
I wish they would just convert all of the white bones to bones black, but I’m guessing it must have something to do with mold compatibility? Because otherwise, the pricing doesn’t seem to be sufficient to justify maintaining a similar, but obviously inferior product line. I mean, they’re both PVC based products manufactured by a Chinese factory. Am I missing something here? I’m sure Bones USA will represent a greater and greater proportion of the catalog as time goes on.
vpoirier000
pretty sure the bones white molds cannot be used for any other material the big pieces in white are still pretty good like goremaw and many of the dragons
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted January 19 Moderator Share Posted January 19 I'm just hoping that they make it abundantly clear on the packaging EXACTLY what material any given figure is made of. The various types of materials behave differently with regards to cutting. 3

If I buy a metal or HIPS or soft plastic (PVC) mini, I know what I'm getting. They've been around for a while. I don't know the difference in qualities between Reaper's SioCast minis and their 3D prints, and I'm sure I'm not alone. That's the kind of info that should be available on the web site for those who like to mod. 3

That's a relatively easy thing to do for figures in blister packs if they're using generic backing cards for the figures and printing out the names of the figures on them at time of packaging. For larger stuff coming in boxes, it's something their vendor would have to design into the artwork during printing the packaging for new releases, and for older stuff they'd have to change the artwork on the packaging for new shipments of it. Only that last part is a particularly large effort.
