@Glitterwolfokay, okay you were right. I'm glad I did.  Thanks the the nudge. 

 

Great comments, all.  This was a cool little test to see if I could push 3 colors to be strong finished piece. I loved it when I put the brush down.  The comments help me feel validated. 

 

As to the basing, I kind of felt it wasn't very grimdark with grass and flowers, but the blue, green, and white are perfect for each other.  I guess there's gotta be grass on one of those planets, right?

Nope, no grass. It's all been eaten, covered in rubble from artillery strikes, or been burned off by acid storms.

Oooh yeah. Dark darks...light highlights...and excellent blending on that big ol' sword. 

 

The way you've got so much variation with just a few colors is quite impressive. I also dig the writing on the sword.

I feel like this little guy will fit in any system, Scifi or Fantasy.
