Moderator Popular Post Chaoswolf Posted January 21 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted January 21 This is an old Ral Partha dragon sculpted by Tom Meier. It's supposed to be the Great Fire Dragon, obviously I didn't know that when I painted him or I would have gone with red. I've had him for 20-30 years, so I figure it's high time that he got painted. Please let me know what you think. >Taking decent pictures of something this big is a little difficult. <
Grand Slam
Wow...I bet this guy's happy to finally have some paint on him! This looks good. The green sets it apart from others (and green always works for a dragon). Great job using shading and highlighting to bring out the details of the sculpt. And I totally agree with the difficulties associated with photographing large pieces...seems like focus is always an issue (at least for me).
alchemist
Oh, this brings back memories. I painted one of these around 1987. I like the basing you've done for it.

Could be a smirk. In my head, I can hear him complaining: "That's the third bunch of adventurers I've had to deal with this week. You kids get of my lawn!!"
Mad Jack
Nice job. He looks good as a green. Thankfully, Iron Wind Metals has most of the Partha dragons back in production, since I have a long list of them I've always wanted to get around to painting someday.

Because I read that in Victor Meldrew's voice "I don't bloody believe it!"

Magic Lantern
Sorry but it is very funny "Curmudgeonly Victor Meldrew, forced to take early retirement from his job as a security guard, rails at the trials and tribulations of modern life as he tries to keep himself busy. His long-suffering wife, Margaret, is frequently exasperated by his misfortunes. Neighbors Patrick and Pippa Trench and family friend Jean Warboys are common witnesses to Victor's antics." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SMi4-x2Ff8
Poilu_1914
Fantastic dragon. Brings back memories; I unfortunately lost all my old Ral Partha dragons moving around with the Navy, although I have been eyeing Iron Wind Metals re-issues.
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted January 26 Author Moderator Share Posted January 26 (edited) Thank you! Fortunately, my mom kept all of my hobby/gaming stuff safe for me while I in the Navy until I had a place of my own to clutter up.
