Weekend Breakfast Questions:

Feb 4th:
Ice Cream for breakfast—ever done that?  Good idea? Mad idea?

I think I have done this. If smoothies or shakes count. Pretty sure I once tried some blended breakfast concoction that had ice cream in there.

I don’t think I ever had a basic bowl of scooped ice cream for breakfast though.

I never have done it, but it sounds like a WONDERFUL idea...I am admittedly a Carvel addict.

No, I don't think I've ever done that.

As to whether or not it's a good idea, I don't know. That's up to everyone to decide for themselves.

Question: Feb 3rd:

Dodos. The Bird. Do you think SCIENCE should try reviving them from their DNA? Good idea? Mad idea?

My answer is like most on here, why? Only for us to kill it off again?

(Showoff a snapshot of?) What did you have for breakfast this weekend?

4th: Yup, I do it all the time. I tend to not group certain foods to be eat at certain times of day. Thou my schedule my breakfast & your breakfast might be at different times.

5th: No pics but I just had a bowl of Kellogg's Corn Pops. Nothing fancy here.

Sure Why not? I've probably done it somewhere along the line.  Milk, eggs, other stuff.  It's like really good kids cereal.

Oddly enough, did that this morning.  Had my normal breakfast while watching a show and realized I was still hungry, so grabbed an ice cream on a stick out of the freezer.

I'm not sure I've ever eaten a bowl of ice cream for breakfast, but I have certainly eaten giant cookie ice cream sandwich thingies for breakfast on the way to the track.  Lots of fuel for a busy day.

Pics of breakfast are unlikely.  My normal breakfast is pretty boring. Toast or cereal and a piece of fruit.

Yup, when I was back in High School, and Yes, we did have ice cream back then...

Probably? My eating habits in college were particularly weird and included a lot of ice cream. Not necessarily good or bad.

I generally don't wake up in time to call it breakfast.  By 1130am- 2pm it's lunch.

Yes, I've have a Dairy Queen blizzard for breakfast because I needed food and I hate the greasy breakfast foods that all the other places serve until 11 a.m. .

4th: not that I can remember, though I've had pie for breakfast because that's just pastry and fruit

5th: same thing I have every day, a bacon and egg sandwich on an english muffin.  Sometimes there are other ingredients, like leftover vegetables or cheese, and sometimes it's on a bagel or toast, but pretty much the same.

I'm torn.  I'd love things to be brought back (dodos, passenger pigeons, thylacines, various rhinos, etc.

But we don't always know what we're going to get.  If we can, I prefer the method being pursued by the Tauros program and devolving(?) cattle back to the aurochs.

I've heard of having ice cream for breakfast, but I don't think I've ever done it.  I've had cake for breakfast before (Hostess, Little Debbie, etc.) as well as things like canned ravioli, leftover pizza, or even hamburgers.  It just depended on what was available and if I was in the mood for something specific.

This weekend, and most every other day, it's the same scrambled eggs, cheese, and sausage (we're currently out of Tabasco, and I don't like Cholula for eggs)--the life of a low-carb dieter.  Perhaps I'll be able to switch things up a bit next year.

When I was working in the big camps during turnarounds, they fed us into bliss. I had ice cream on waffles with toppings. It was a life-changing event.

I might’ve had cake for breakfast Saturday. Well, second breakfast. My schedule was/is weird. (First breakfast Saturday was just after midnite.)

We know it was carrot cake because it has a carrot on top. Not a real carrot. A cartoon carrot. Even though it was a cartoon carrot, Happily, this was not an ACME carrot cake and no coyotes were involved.

WarriorSlinky had a few misfires making gelato (ie forgot sugar) which meant it was fruity ice cubes.  I worked it into breakfast smoothies over a few weeks.  Can’t say that ice cold is what I’m looking for when I get up, but hey, whatever floats your boat!

no breakfast pix. It’s rare I make a photo worthy breakfast.  Dinner, on the other hand…. As an aside, I’ve always felt that the slight extra effort in plating up dinner to make it pretty is worthwhile, even if it’s just for myself.  I laughed when Bills character in the last of us sat down to his first meal after the zombie apocalypse… I could totally relate!

No, not me. I didn't know, but apparently Saturday was ice cream for breakfast day. A local ice cream place had a thing where if you showed up in PJs early enough and got ice cream you got a free coffee mug. I skipped it but my wife and our niece got up early and celebrated.

I had a "what's leftover in the fridge?" omelet this morning. Chicken sausage, hot peppers, cheese. Not shown are a half an orange, some grapes, and a half a pot of coffee.
