(Showoff a snapshot of?) What did you have for breakfast this weekend?

I forgot to do this both days this weekend, do here you go:

That was this morning.  The exact contents of the bowl were different both days this weekend,  but the idea was the same: cereal and milk.

Exciting, huh?

Weekend Breakfast Questions:

Feb 4th:
Ice Cream for breakfast—ever done that?  Good idea? Mad idea?

I don't think I've ever had Ice Cream for breakfast... beer, yes...  cold pizza, of course!  Other assorted leftover from the fridge, many times.  I don't think I've ever gone for ice cream other than perhaps as desert at a big brunch buffet and even then, I'm not positive I have.

Breakfast was bread and peanut butter this weekend, so not terribly exciting, nor did I happen to get a picture of it.

Miniature Monday Question, Feb 6th:

What are your thoughts on the Reaper Miniature of the month for Feb (7075)?

This is Marina…

…7075

The display paint job is lovely...

However I'm not sure I would have any use for it and it would just become another in a one of many bins of minis awaiting the appropriate strike of genius or need to find a purpose...

She looks very much like a hireling, so that's good: has to carry all the weapons and goods, slapped into some cheap armour, expected to walk on ahead to inadvertently find  any traps, all for a 1/8 share of the treasure (to paid only upon survival of the mission).

Overall, I'd say she's a fine mini, although (as others have said) she doesn't really seem "overladen."  The blue/pink combo doesn't really work for me, and I'm not a fan of the NMM--I can't put my finger on it, but something about it feels off.  It's all well-executed (far better than I am ever likely to produce), just not my "cuppa" in this instance.

Would I buy her?  I don't know.  As I get older, and my totes of shame swell, I'm moving my purchasing toward only those items that really catch my eye or fulfil that "I gotta have it" urge.  I certainly wouldn't avoid buying her, though.

Never had Ice Cream for Breakfast, I wouldn't mind the taste but I think my stomach would object.

One man's mad idea is another man's great idea...everyone has to decide that for him/her/themselves, I won't do it.

Breakfast:

Forgot to take pics since Oldest Vixen moved out of the house this weekend.

My usual breakfast is a Turkish or Greek Yoghurt ( small difference in amount of fat) topped with fresh blueberries/ hazelnuts/dried cranberries and raisins and some oats and seeds.

She's named after an Ex of mine so she won't be invited to my home...

I like it, (her).  Can’t say I’ve ever known a Marina, so unlike certain Wolfses we’re good on that account.

I figure her backstory is that she is Oswald’s niece AND the one who tricked him into carrying such a ridiculous overburden.

I didn’t remember she was 3D printed rather than a casting.  She comes unpainted ! …as an aside to those who were iffy about the colors for whatever reason. If you get one, you get to make your own color choices.

I’m not worried about the spear snapping off. If it did, I could always attach a halberd head on that haft.

Terrain Tuesday Question, Feb 7th:

What is the last (most recent) piece of terrain you built?  (Purchased and finished off by painting can count for today’s inquiry.)

Probably the little buildings and cars that came in the Marvel:- Crisis Protocol starter set.

Don't have them any more, sold the set.

Probably that crashed Aquila Lander from a while back, as that's the one that was painted and all that.

If we're focusing on just the assembly, that's probably the Warsenal Cosmica HAB Building...

Finished would be these: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/100768-natural-barricadesarch/

Actually built (but not finished yet, there's a lot more to come) would be these: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/100479-cheap-free-sci-fi-shipspace-station-terrain/

I built a tavern scene - poster board stone floor, some of the drunken mermaid from Brinewind and some furniture from either another KS and perhaps some from Wizkids.

If you count my Mushrooms as terrain which you can interact with:

AMWts8BBye7WHqeBl4TrZMPsV62aOoNFanf-ly4h

AMWts8C-yA6YlbzPsdPnM8hG4hA5sJQgx8Mdl-Sm

AND these Fellows who are yet to be based:

I don't always think of them as terrain...it is probably all that singing in the wee hours of the morning.
