Popular Post AuralEntropy
This one was fun to make, painting, not as much. Lots of area to cover. I had to put some hefty pins (hardwood floor stables) up through the bottom through his feet up to the knees to prevent bending. I also put them in his wings to prevent the droop people had previously commented on. One of my first attempts at a resin pour, it turned out pretty good, but did leak out around the front. Grand Slam
I really dig that slight metallic sheen that the body has. The details (eyes, teeth, etc.) are also painted quite nicely. Sounds like this one was a hassle, but the final product was worth it. 3

Because it was such a big area to cover I used cheap hobby paint (Ceramcoat maroon I think) and mixed in some silver metallic for the highlights. It gave the skin tone more life. I think his grandmother was a silver dragon. 😉

Magic Lantern
Love that base and the way the water and stone have a sort of softer swirly look that adds another level of visual contrast to the dragon's sharpness. Thank you for sharing how you got the effect - I saw someone a few years ago do the opposite - sprayed a big dragon chrome all over then used inks on top - interesting to see how both work ( BTW I reckon it was his grandad who was the silver dragon, his granny's secret fling, grandad kept the hatchlings that looked silver ... but somewhere out there he has a "silver" cousin who in some lights looks pale pink...) 1
