The rust/dried blood on the scythe looks really convincing. I also like the idea of the writing on his scroll being written in blood. I may be borrowing that idea when I paint mine. 😉

The blood is Vallejo Dried Blood and then I used Scale 75 Inktense Black on it,

 

Rust is Vallejo Dried Rust and Fresh Rust over a Brown Liner and then some Scale 75 Heavy Metal/Speed Metal, also a few minor touches of Vallejo Dried Blood on that scythe.

Thanks, that was what I was going for!

 

Scale 75 Brown Leather and then Drybrushed with Scale 75 Orange Leather did the trick.
