benhamtroll
We listen to a lot of musicals in our house, and one of my daughter's favorites is Godspell, by Stephen Schwartz. Anyway, we were listening to this the other day as we were driving along, and we're all singing along. The following are the first few lines of "Save The People": When wilt thou save the people? Oh God of mercy, when? Not kings and lords, but nations, Not thrones and crowns, but men! Well, apparently my daughter had never quite caught these word, so this in what she sang: When wilt thou save the people? Oh God of mercy, when? Not kings and lords, but nations, Not frozen clowns, but men! We almost had an accident.

primeval
Althugh I have no idea what the actual lyrics are, I am pretty sure the lyrics to Pinball Wizard are not "Pinball Wizard, got to keep a lizard" as a friend's young niece seems to think
Enchantra
*giggles* One of my friends I believe actually has a CD with these things on it!
Neyuttad
I know I'm not alone with this one... "Awesome shoes are on me" instead of "Pour some sugar on me" -Def Leppard And "I will go down with this shi+, I'm in love and always will be." -Dido, "White Flag" My friend told me she misheard that one and from that time on, that's what I hear. It just ruins the whole romance of the song...
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted September 22, 2004 Moderator Share Posted September 22, 2004 I mis-heard that word in a Fruity Marshmallow Crispies commercial in the 80s. As a 6th-grader, I had a lot of fun with it.
