Phaedrus
Anyone know of some sites (like your own, even, perhaps?) that have galleries of painted mechs? I have come across a few, but not nearly enough -- before I even considering painting these babies, I want to get my thoughts going with what looks cool that other people have done. (did that make sense?) Phaedrus
lstormhammer
Phaed: You might want to try 'coolminiornot.com'. Ignore all the comments, but do search for mechs. you might find good stuff there. --my considerable 3.14 cents. --lstormhammer
ladystorm
and do try cavhq.com, they have painted CAV there as well. cbs
nadinbrzezinski
Very much so, also get yourself a copy of the Journal of Recogntion. which has plenty of color plates. I personally use historical cammy schemes for the most part, so the Osprey book series proves invaluable to me. Nadin
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted September 12, 2002 Moderator Share Posted September 12, 2002 (just a nit-pick, in CAV, the giant walking battlemachines are called "CAVs", not "mechs".) I agree with CAVhq.com. also check out the galleries on Mil-net, they've got some good stuff, though I don't know if they're open for submission anymore. Chrome
Sadly they are not. But one day soon, we will be free of the chains that bind us (IE our host!) http://www.mil-net.net/galleries/
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted September 12, 2002 Moderator Share Posted September 12, 2002 Yay, fight the power, brother, et cetera. No really, there's some really cool stuff on Mil-net, including CADs of future CAV releases. Go look. You're not looking. I said go look. *pokepoke*

Jeremy
Do they make Ridilin for frogs?? Anybody know?
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted September 13, 2002 Moderator Share Posted September 13, 2002 I'm sure you're welcome to try...I can't speak for the results, however. Back on topic though, are the galleries on cavhq.com only for official CAV minis, or are conversions welcome too? I sent a bunch of my pics in, but they're all conversions, and I don't see them. Just curious.
Leech
Yeah, I must get around to finishing my CAV's off (and repairing them!!!!) and sending in some pics. That Specter is getting lonely :o) Query: Ridilin?
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted September 16, 2002 Moderator Share Posted September 16, 2002 It's a drug prescribed for hyperactivity and ADD in young children. It could turn the worst little hellion brat I'd ever known into one of the best kids it has been my pleasure to work with. That said, when I was on it for 6 weeks in fifth grade, they couldn't tell the difference.
Leech
Hmm... we tend to limit the amount of sugar (especially Cola) the kid drinks. No problems afterwards. It's also cheaper than drugs.
