My favorite 5e adventure writer, Kelsey Dionne has launched a Kickstarter for her Shadowdark rules.

 

 

With the hullaballoo over WotC & the OGL, Kelsey has stated she wants to focus more on this then 5e (which saddens me allot) but I'm willing to give this one a try, I just wasn't prepared for the prices. I'm definitely in for the pdf pledge, just not sure if I wanna up to the physical core book or not. As the prices don't include shipping costs.

 

Either way, there is a Quickstart Rules in the Kickstarter page, if you wanna  see how the system works. I think once the Rookery adventures in for my Weds night D&D group, I may try & introduce them to Shadowdark once a month instead of trying to do anther 5e adventure to go along with the main campaign we do.

I think I'm in on this.

 

I appreciate the attempt to create a new system that's close to 5e but better at older styles of play. I admit, I'm excited for the potential. I also like her modules a lot, so I don't mind seeing what else she's got brewing.
