Nope.  Think I had to do a little terrarium a very long time ago for a school project.....no idea what was in it now...bugs? Maybe a small lizard or two?

When I was younger, I had a small tube aquarium (like 10 bucks, was about a foot tall) that had 4 goldfish in it.  I won the fish at a local spring fair (the game where you toss ping pong balls into bowls of water), I named them after the original Ghostbusters. Out of those 4, only 1 survived, Egon, lived quite a long time for a goldfish. He/she also got quite big for a goldfish too. After awhile, I transferred him/her to a bigger 20 gallon tank that had other fish, such as a Silver Dollar, Tetras & Siamese fighting fish. I also had a Plecostomus (ie the tank cleaner).

Once all of them had died, I lost interest in having fish as pets.

I think I recall us having a goldfish back when I was 3. It's probably dead now.

We had the aquarium set up at our last house.  We have not set it up yet here.  It has only been 17 years.  It is a 55 gallon.  When setup it had Neon Tetras, Plecostomus (one grew to about 14"), gourami, sliver tipped tetra and others like this.

QUESTION MARCH 16th.

Marvel , DC Universe or other ( which one) ?

Which is your favorite and why

I generally prefer Marvel over DC, for both movies and comics. Hadn't really read any comics since the early eighties. Then my wife recently got me a subscription to Marvel's online comic database and I tried re-reading some of that old stuff. Man some of that writing was just dumb as all get out. It was fun taking the walk down memory lane, but the newer stuff is far, far better.

Nope, never had an aquarium. Had a terrarium with a tarantula in it for a couple of decades until it died around the age of 30. That was given to me by someone who had no idea how to care for it though, I'm generally not a fan of critters in cages. We've got an aquarium at work that the fish folk (they're not actual fish folk, like some sort of Lovecraftian Deep One, they're ichthyologists. But everyone calls them the fish folk) keep stocked with common native species. It's nice to be able to show interns and other non-biology people what some of the area's most basic species look like. It's not very good for pictures as they keep it is surrounded by a large cardboard box that helps simulate the low light conditions the fish in there would normally live in.

Had fish tanks when I was a kid and we lived in the tropics, stocked with tropical fish.   As an adult my husband tried saltwater tanks for several years with a variety of critters, corals, and fish, but it's extremely difficult to maintain the correct conditions and he got tired of it.   We have gotten rid of most of the tanks and gear.  I repurposed the lights for my house plants. One of the small tanks is now a terrarium.  We have a 10ft tank in the garage that will be there till we die because it's too heavy to move.

When I was younger and both my brother and I lived at home, over the years we had a couple of fish tanks, one salt, two fresh (one was just a couple of water dogs), and we had a guinea pig and a conehead lizard.

(On a related note, for nearly a year after the conehead died, we had crickets as pets, but they lived all over our basement...  )

I have had aquariums in the past, but it was a combination of needing the space back, lights dying, and tank cracks that pretty much had me back out of the hobby - that and the maintenance.  Ye gawds, the amount of maintenance even a freshwater tank has is astronomical...  I was rather happy with the tanks I had... And if I had somewhere to put them, I'd probably have another go of it, but with different tanks.

Previously, I had a 20 gallon tank that had a variety of Anubias plants in it and a few others.  Generally this tank had guppies in it, but after a while dealing with live breeding fish became somewhat problematic.  I wanted to turn it into a Cory cat and tetra tank, if I remember correctly, with some Kuhli loaches but I also wanted to give the loaches a wider run (24" wide tank doesn't give them much room to play).  For the first few days there was a half moon betta splendis in there, but once he took a chunk out of the tail of one of the guppies I knew it wouldn't be a happy environment for the two to share, so Hunter got his own ten gallon tank.

Hunter was not happy about the tank changing, but he adapted, and preferred the lower depth, as well as slower flow of the water, but he was cranky for a while that I didn't let him keep his favourite Anubias plant he liked sleeping on.  Sadly, he got the swim bladder problem, lost most of his fins, and even with treatment he wound up passing on about two weeks later.

Then there was Tyr, my punk rocker that was addicted to Mythbusters, and specifically the explosions.  Crown tail betta that was orange with black spikes, although I strongly suspected those were dyed because a few weeks later all the black was gone.  He was fairly happy in his ten gallon tank, even though it was a 16" cube if I remember correctly (Fluval Flora v1).  He did well until his tank cracked right as I was about to head out to work, and he was not impressed with the sudden shock of being transferred from his usual tank to a five gallon bucket I had nearby, and didn't have time to fully adapt the temperatures between the two because hey, tank is kind of draining itself.

All of my tanks were live planted, because I preferred such, they looked nicer, and my fish generally seemed to like being able to move about within, around, and on said plants.  My shrimp also liked such!

I'll see if I can find any pics in a bit...

Paludarium... I'd love to build one, and/or a vivarium as well, but I'll want to be in an actual house first before embarking on such an endeavour, as I want to do a small approximation of a full on... Uh... Thing.  Can't find words I'm trying to think of.

In the band house we used to have a couple terrariums a couple of the other guys owned. One had a nile and a water monitor, the other a red-tailed boa. Both terrariums were massive, like 10'x5'x5'. Boa was massive, iirc 12' long, ate rabbits but didn't do much. The monitors were fun, the water one would hang out in his pool and the nile in the 'trees'. The peak of entertainment with them was unleashing mice into the enclosure and watching them hunt. Like being a giant watching dinos hunt mammals.

Oh dear… okay, so inside it’s pretty simple.  A 37gal aquarium that’s down to a few bloodfins.

Outside?  A 1500sf greenhouse with an 18’ diameter corrugated steel lined aquacultural setup, home to 20 Japanese koi.  The fish range from 12 - 28” in length, and the oldest are nearing 20 years old.

I posted some videos a few years ago for our local koi club, if you want to see the craziness for real…
