Fair point, but I've never cared for golf.  I'd want to play football or soccer if I were choosing a sport.

 

As for the VP salary, I am sure I could somehow live on "only" $250K, since it comes with a fancy house, the use of a jet, and paid household and professional staff, among other perks.  I suppose I would have to do some budgeting, clip a few coupons... but I would have the free time to do that, since the job only formally entails presiding over the Senate (which is optional, and the Senate does not really expect the VP to be there) and waiting around in case something happens to the President.

I'd go back to being a musician, but I'd have to assume I'd be making a comfortable living off it this time 😄

There are too many to say I have a favorite, but I can share one that comes to mind. My first chocolate lab, Abby, would ask for treats by barking. We wouldn't give her one until she quieted down, and we did this by saying "Ask like a lady." Then her great big WOOF would turn into a barely audible woof. So smart.

I would like to be a masterchef, being able to cook like ( just to name a few):

  • Gordon Ramsay
  • Jamie Oliver
  • Yotam Ottolenghi

And of course be filthy rich doing it, owing a chain of restaurants each with their own theme and maybe do some Tv shows etc....

 

Oh well, back to harasssing young Lieutenants.

I guess whatever has the best reward/pay to effort ratio!

 

I've always sort of envied those who had an actual response to "what do you want to be when you grow up" questions.  For me it's mostly just been a matter of "whatever pays the bills" plus a bit of "I need a change" with no definite plan or preferences.

Lottery winner ?  I think I'd be good at that....

 

Beyond that, at this point in my life, comfortably retired.  

Or I could handle "guy who orders minis for a very successful hobby store".

Well, I like the one I have now, Retirement.  My old job of Computer Support was not bad except for bosses.  But retirement is much better.

   I always like to jokingly tell people if I had a perfect dream job, it would be making a ton of money to go around whacking stupid people upside the head with a plank... ::D:

 

   It wouldn't permanently hurt them, though - they'd do or say something stupid, and then I'd "POP!" in, whack them upside the head with the plank, and "POP!" out again... And a few seconds later, they'd get up, shake their head, and say, "Gee, I guess that was really stupid. I should stop doing that..."...  :B):

Tough one!  I could imagine directing films would be pretty rewarding, and match my control freak artistic sensibilities.  I've spent the last 10 yeas on 'billionaire philanthropist' payrolls, and I think I could do their job just as well as they do.  Past that, I'm okay with finishing out my gig as a 'gentleman farmer of the scientific fields' for a few more years before shuffling off to full-time hobby work!

I already have it. After long years of working miserable, thankless jobs, I now have all the time left to me to do whatever I would care to do; AND I have most everything necessary to do just that.
