Hill giants

I went into my local hobby shop the other day to buy some paint and primer...and apparently I needed a hill giant too because I came out with one of those also. Luckily when I got home I realized I didn't already own it. In fact I have one of each of the Reaper hill giants. Well I was inspired to paint them up and here is what I came up with. MSP Tanned skin plus highlight and shadow for the skin. Army painter for the rest. Looking at the pics, I realize some bits here and there that need work but mostly I'm pretty happy. Guess which GM is going to have his players fight some hill giants someday...

I have actually posted this one before but he is part of the group now.

 

I need to work on my photography a bit. Also, anybody know if I need to reduce the file size on the pics before I upload them? They are about 6 mb each.

A very nice, mean looking group you have there and I'd hate to be in that party that encounters them. I spent a fairly long time looking at all trying to decide which was my favorite as it came down to two of them, the one you call cavemanish kept catching my attention as it reminded me of a Flintstone-ian look (i.e. clothing) but finally had to call it for the Banner Giant, both such clever ideas/schemes! Kudos !

That's some awesome freehand work on the banners that got turned into cloths for the "first" hill giant!

the caveman is my fave, butthey are all soooo good. Not many people can post that file size and still look just as good blown up to full size

 

if your using windows 10, the standard photo editor has  downscaling. you can either choose from 3 sizes or scale down based on percentage of original file size
