Reaper Bones - Graveyard Golem.

It's on a 50mm Wooden base

I'm going to print some other Golems soon and create a unit of these for my Undead Legion.

Saemus the gravedigger was almost finished, he had been digging a grave for old lady Biddington, he climbed out of it and stuck his spade in the ground.

Hmmm, he thought almost nightfall, it's getting dark already, he looked around and noticed a visitor, kinda late for visiting the grave of a loved one, Saemus thought.

The man was dressed in a brown robe, maybe a priest?

 

Saemus walked to the stranger to ask him if he was going to stay for long, he wanted to close the gates to the cemetary and go home, but then he stopped.

The stranger held a scroll and he was reading out loud in strange words, the symbols on the scroll seemed to glow in the dark.

Feeling uneasy, Saemus took a step back, the stranger hadn't noticed him yet, what was he doing?

 

Then it happened!

The stranger spoke louder and louder, repeating words in a strange language and the very ground began to shake.

A tombstone was lifted from the ground, a part of a bronze statue flew towards the tombstone, then rocks, stone, the bones of the buried all merged together and a large figure rose from the ground!

The Graveyard itself came alive!

 

Saemus had seen enough he turned around and ran!

Behind him he could hear the evil laughter of the stranger.

Saemus ran and ran, he would never dig a grave in his life again!

very cool, like your idea of making the face copper instead of just the fencing instead of stone and the verdigris just adds to his scariness, very nice.

I have another one from Bestiaum that I can print, I want a unit of three and I'm thinking of building one myself with several parts and milliput, have to think about it.

Thank you, I wanted to show that it consists of parts from about everything, rocks/stones/bones/gravestones/fence/copper and bronze ornaments..

I like what the others have mentioned, but also love the basing elements and the fact that you added some flocking about the ‘wings’ and so on. An excellent piece!

Since the elements that hold it together are from a graveyard I figured I needed to show that it was torn from the ground.

I'm soon going to print this one from Bestiarum to go with this Reaper one.

I want a Unit of three so I want another one as well,

Maybe I will build one from scratch for fun or look for a 3rd suitable Graveyard Golem.

 

Not a Bone Golem, those will also make an appearance soon, but as a separate unit.

 

It needs to fit on a 50mm base as does these two.

If anyone has a nice suggestion let me know.

I can print 3D files ( preferred) but I also still like physical minis. If anyone knows about one that will look good besides these two...I'm open for suggestions.

I'm slowly building an Undead Legion.

Besides a Tomb King Legion, a Conquistadore Army, a Lizardman/Reptilian Army, a Vampire Coast Army, a Barbarian/Beastmen/Troll/Greenskin Horde, a Scifi Jackal Army etc.etc

 

I may have too many projects somehow...

Absolutely spectacular work! Love the weathering and your backdrops.

 

Come on, Saemus! We covered this in Groundskeeper Orientation--if you see a robed stranger chanting in the graveyard outside of a standard burial service, whack them in the head with a shovel!

I try to base all ofmy Gothic Undead in the same way so in the end it will be a complete Graveyard Setting
