What you said R2ED.  Oooh boy.  I've barely scratched D&L3, D&L4 JUST got here and these guys are so reliable I'll probably have D&L5 before I finish even get 10% done either.

 

But man they look good.  Really need a "just the 50mm+ minis please your infantry are way the heck too small but Mahazael melts my face off" tier.

Not sure I'll back this one as it's more miniature-focused. It will come down to how good the value proposition is.

i think the current KS lacks focus / direction. 

It sounds like they have a pretty cohesive setting/world but the campaign page definitely comes across as "heres a ton of minis, oh and there will be some 5e stats thrown on at the end".

It might actually be the other way around, and I think they'd be good to reframe the campaign similiar to how Tanares was propositioned.

Super excited for it though. Archons stretch goals are amazing.

Probably a (super) stretch goal would be my guess. I hope it’s a huge mini!

Definitely a huge part of the pledge‘s worth will come through the stretch goals. Last time they throwed the tarrasque at us (a retail worth of $59) among tons of other stuff. Someone wrote they are charging $200 now for what were stretch goals in encounters.

Agreed. There is already a lot of criticism in the feedback that they „force“ the books in hardcover on the backers, while most said the would wish it’s an add-on or at least it should be .pdfs. Let’s see what they do in when they get started.

for the minis: personally I‘d like they‘d keep the add-ons more „pure“. 40% of the „chaos disciples“ (the add-on I like most so far) aren’t of there chaos faction at all but some other factions!

Try the Deuslair samples. I assembled them first. Pretty easy to clean and build. Missing bases though. Like the wood golem/construct with its riders best! I‘m currently assembling and painting all my trees (12 that is). Someone wrote the sprues won’t need washing, so far that’s right. I prime with Vallejo can primer and paint with reaper and Vallejo.

I really should have just gotten in on the encounters KS 

 

[ am mostly interested in their legacy options.  in order of interest : 
1. elven encounter 

2. encounter props 
3. trees pack

I check some 3 d printed trees costs - 60E   for 6 trees is a better deal than I could find.  
 

but the preview pages has either 2 or 3 packs that come with the 189E  pledge   graphics vs pledge level 
If it is 3 than that level becomes really attractive - 

most of the minis I want are part of the Redoe alliance - lots of the others would just be too much trouble for me to assemble, much less paint.
99 mins is less of a pull if I leave most of them in the boxes. 

 

But the lure of stretch goals is strong - in previous KS that is where all the random scattter and dungeon bits went. 

I will budget for 118E   and watch where the 189E  level ends up.

"Bestiary and an RPG campaign book will be free PDFs now. Hardcovers, on the other hand, will be available as add-ons. 😉 In return, each pledge gets +1 add-on to choose.

I am definitely going to get the seas of thunder pledge and considering the white dunes one. There are a few scattered models in other boxes I'd like, but not enough to get a whole core/add-on for them.

Deuslair add-ons are about 45 miniatures each.

Add-ons individually are €59 each. Obviously better to buy through the pledges.

 

So it looks like the Adept is the best price, although you'd only want the SSG's if it had the content you wanted. Project hasn't started yet, so obviously we don't know what the SSG's are. Any numbers I missed?

- 2 Dragons as Super SG. More than 5 Super SG.
- Yetis mentioned.
- Preview changes - SG and Super SG available for €59 as a paid add on only (not an add on you can pick from the pledge level) - but you must have a minimum pledge of Novice (€89) can't get them at the €1 add on pledge. So you can get the Core set, 1 Add on, SG and add the Super SG for €148.
- Game Master pledge - 9 add ons plus Tarrasque - €369
- 5 Tools already made, Stone Wards 2 to a sprue
