Ral Partha Wizard, sculpted by Dennis Mize for Children of the Night

Hi all, 

 

painting a bit less infrequently these days due to this and that and the other, but just finished this one recently, a Wizard from Dennis Mize's range Children of the Night.  He's a pretty small little guy, probably about half the material a modern mage would take up, pretty faithful to 25 MM:

 

 

Pretty simple figure but as such rather enjoyable and quick to paint.  In the photos there is a weird light reflection in his cape in the darkest recesses which is weird because there's not an unpainted patch there, just odd the way the light hit it. 

 

Anyhoos, enjoy this blast from the past, I think this is one of those 1979-1982 figures, forgot to look at the bottom.

Thanks Glitterwolf!   I don't mind painting this scale, it's small and the miniatures on this scale are usually much more straightforward without a lot of unnecessary dingly danglies, but at the same time for my middle-aged eyes, it definitely helps to work on something  a bit larger (even though I do use magnification). To give an example, the Stonehaven gnomes and halfling I painted recently are probably just about the same size as this figure.
