I like snacks, but all the snacks I like are the unhealthy kind.  So I snack rarely and in limited quantities.

When I snack, it's usually to maintain my blood sugar during work. Otherwise, it helps to pass the time when I'm driving.

I'm a terrible snacker, especially when bored and/or stressed, which unfortunately is a lot of my work time.  That's one of the reasons I like working from home, I can have healthier choices for me available, aka things with lower sugar/starch content.  At work we can no longer keep stuff in our desks, since we are using flex seating (ugh) and most of what is available at the cafe in the building is either nice big portions of carbs, or nice "healthy low fat choices" still full of carbs, all of which cost 5x times what they do for home stuff.

My favorite snacks are either cheese or jerky, both of which are filling and don't muck up my blood sugar.

The box(es) will be smaller than you expect.  Even if you got everything it will probably come in ~15"x20" shipping box.  Traditionally people post pics with their cat or small child inside as a size reference.  Last time the Core set was slightly bigger than a box of cereal, and expansion boxes ~5"x6".

I bought a Bones 5 Core Set on eBay a while back, since I started seriously painting too late to join in the Kickstarter even as a late backer and I had to have the Overgourd (among others), so I know how big that box was.  The Bones 6 Core box might well be smaller, since there is less in it.  I also bought a Bones 4 expansion on eBay, so I have that box too for size comparison.  But even my modest (relative to some of those orders, anyway) order of a Core Set, four expansions, and a bunch of smaller sets will still be large enough to annoy my wife.  But I'll manage.

I carry around a container of snack mix, usually nuts and some salty stuff, when I'm in the field at work because we don't always have time to take a lunch break. but otherwise I don't do a lot of snacking these days. When I was in college I used to "stress eat" whenever I was typing a paper up. Back then the preferred snack was M&M's, but as I get older my body just doesn't process sugary snacks that well and they leave me feeling bad. So now if I want something sweet I make it myself with ingredients that don't upset me, which cuts way down on impulse eating when you have to take the time to actually bake something. I kind of miss being able to eat whatever, whenever I want. That's probably a good thing though.

My favourite snack used to be Oh Henry bars, but a) they keep making the packaging smaller, and b) being diagnosed with PVC's means I have to watch my chocolate intake (specifically caffeine intake).  Those bars were so handy as an emergency energy source, because not only did it get the "you needed to eat an hour ago!" alarm bells from the body to shush, they'd also give you enough energy to get home and then make something...

PVC's the heart condition, not a sudden case of a lot of rigid plastic 😛

It depends on where I am at and what I have access to. I tend to snack at home if there is trail mix in the pantry, or excess donuts left about. So maybe I am a "shame to let that go to waste" snacker.

Once I am at work, I only get a snack during break time, as I technically need to be there when the assembly line is running. I could abuse my offline position and snack whenever I feel like it, but I don't. Food isn't even supposed to be out of designated break areas, yet I still see people who work on the line popping candy into their mouths... without taking off their oily protective gloves... ewww.

Have you ever hit "Reply to all" by accident when sending a snarky message with a comment about one of the participants in a multiperson conversation?

Thanks, I was stuck in meetings all morning....blah.

To answer, no, but that's because I've always been really careful with the whole reply to all thing.  In the early days of corporate email servers I got to witness the business users utterly crush the local email server.  It would start with someone accidentally including the "all corporate employees" mailing group in an email that wasn't supposed to be for everyone, and then the system would just die under the users hitting reply to all to say "I don't think I'm supposed to be on this email" or "Why was this sent to me".

It was a beautiful catastrophe that you could see coming as soon as the first email went out and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it.
And appropriately enough (since this is a long weekend in Canada) it always seemed to happen on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend.

Nope.
I was pretty good about keeping Outlook under control.

Nope.  I prefer not to put my snarky comments in writing.  Why leave a paper trail, right?

Actually, that's not quite true.  I often put snarky comments in writing, but never ones I am concerned about someone seeing.

Question.  Wednesday May 17th.

Today is (among many others)  National Work From Home Day.

Is working from home an option for you?  And if so did you work from home today?

As a follow up, today is also National Pinot Grigio Day.  Coincidence? Or was it all part of the plan?

Ever since the COVID lockdowns hit, I've shifted a majority of my work to the house.  Mostly meetings, writing up experimental results and more meetings...  I do love me a Pinot * (I pretty much love them all...), but we've been trying to cut back during the week, so we didn't have wine on Wednesday.

I've executed a lot of CLMs (career limiting maneuvers), but somehow I've avoided the 'reply all' one.  I've always been a bit of a loose cannon in the workplace, so I have to make extra certain that I toe the line.  The worst for me was many years back when I was one of the younger scientists in a biotech company.  The head of our legal department sent out a scorching all company email complaining that the researchers were not adhering to proper legal protocols, and that "Mr Count Urlik's behavior is a prime example of the unacceptable practices that will lead us to failure."  About 5 minutes after the e-mail went out, the CEO/site head (we were multinational) called me up and told me to meet him in the lobby for lunch.  I spent the next half hour thinking through the local options for a new job, then headed out to the lobby.  We walked out, got into his car and he said, "don't worry about any of this, keep doing what you're doing.  Keep your head down and I'll take care of it, she's driving us all crazy"  Two weeks later she announced she was leaving to 'explore new opportunities.'  I miss that place terribly!
